  • when i grow up, i wanna be Jimmy Page...

  • Gods of rock

  • Os caras já apavoravam em 1975 imagine agora com estas bandas de merda de hoje ...

  • rip strider.. robert plants dog ;)

  • Jimmy Page is the only guy who could just "be" and still look cool. Why does time take away bands like Zep? What are we left with these days? A wasteland of crap like Bieber, Gaga, and Bruno Mars. Just shoot me. ;oP

  • @maewestmore the media wants to control children, so they write songs for those modern artsits to sing, so children are much more under their control, and those artists get money for it in return,... its horrible. zeppelin ignored the media, they said stfu to m and did a lot of shows... the long way,.... but the best way!

  • Stryder !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was 16 in 1970 and if I wasn't listening to Zeppelin, it was because i was listening to Clapton and I still am!

  • Zepp III was and remains my favorite LZ album

  • led zeppelin III was my fisrt record i ever had by them, i fell in love with all their acoustic/folk/blues songs. it is still to this day my favorite album, there songs are so moving, they touch my very soul and jimmy page is the main reason i persued guitar the way i have....thanks zeppelin for showing me a love i never thought i could know

  • This would be an interesting song to do a first dance to as a married couple.

  • It's funny, i always taught Slash was the coolest guy in that band.. ; )

But some nob head got to big for his boots, and ruined it.

  • I bet Slash loves Page : )

  • He's like a fine Pianist or somehtin...i dunno?

  • Jimmy Page is thee greatest guitarist ever...Sorry.

  • Why doesnt vevo have channel for classic shit like this?

  • @sigmapsicharlie ~holy mary mother of christ on a cracker.... plz kill vevo and all it represents... amen~

  • @KaraNoise Why can't people watch what they say? Some people still get offended at using the lords name in vain. just saying.

  • bob plant's got no clue of how honored he should be sitting next to J.P. it's amazing how loose page plays, but how tight the song is when he's done with it. absolute master!

  • @ZedStone1 "Bob Plant" knows better than us who "J.P." is and he also knows his own value. I agree, it was a great honour for all these four artists to play together. J. P., an amazing musician, had the honour to work with the poet who wrote "Kashmir", "Stairway...", "Going to California" etc. He also had the chance to find probably the best rock singer of all times, a versatile, intelligent and expressive artist. You see, everyone was so honored, including us for listening to them.

  • What a sound, Great, Giant Zepp!! And In '75 Jimmy was more Beautifull than ever, Oh My god...

  • i remember watching this dvd the first time with my fiance,he loved led zeppelin...r.i.p rowdy(he passed away 4-21-2011)

  • @33smokechic , so sorry all my friends went too, very sad but we are here an one day here to me better then two there . god bless

  • I'm in love with Robert Plant's "woo yeeah!"

  • aww, they look so happy and they really enjoy what they're doing! amazing band!

this beats the album version hands down

  • i just learned how to play this song

  • here stryder here boy

  • 2 people need ears

  • STRIDERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • one thing is for sure 2 people arent sure

  • haha i m in love with plant and i m not even gay

  • Coś pięknego pamiętam te lata i ten utwór z radiem tranzystorowym przy uchu i stacja rodio Laxemburg.

  • Of all of the things that made Led Zeppelin great, the most honorable was the fact that they ceased carrying on as Led Zeppelin when Bonzo died. Wish other bands had that same integrity.

  • @bughead3 Great point. Just goes to show a band is not about one member; it's a union.

  • I wonder what this would sound like with a Tuba in it?

  • john bonham has a good voice too! they all did appearantly

  • @snoopy3323 ummm the piano?

  • @TresVivo im guessing you've never seen the inside of a piano?

  • Bron-Yr-Aur is located in South Snowdonia, Wales. It is the small cottage where Led Zeppelin recorded their third album. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant also returned there in 1994 for their MTV reunion No Quarter: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant unledded.

  • Fucking Tune!!!!!!! God Bless you John!!!!

  • 2 people are gonna get Bron-Yr-Aur STOMPED !!!

  • Jimmy Page is the only guy that can sit cross legged and still look cool!

  • @AlexSMartakis Jimmy Page could wear my moms underwear and still look cool...

  • Jimmy Page is the only guy that can sit cross legged and still look cool!

  • Gah, im so confused. I have the official Hal Leonard TAB of this song and its TOTALLY different. And i know that Mr. Page improv's a lot in concert, but the intro riff is not Tabbed in my book to have any slide at all; where as here is sliding like crazy.

  • @KusanagiEyes respectfully, throw all that "learning literature" to a big bonfire and use ears.

  • @obnebur I use the TAB book as a guideline, not as written fact. I suppose your right though; just gotta figure it out my self.

  • Dude, Jimmy is always soaked.

If you ain't sweatin, you ain't rockin.

  • how the hell......

  • giving you 3 J's and a Plant. Smoke em if you got em!

  • @mcreminisce lmao nice

  • What kind of bass is John playing? lol Looks like a sitar.

  • I went through the anguish of writing a tab for THIS particular version of the song. So far I got the intro, the first 50 seconds.

  • 2 dislikes!!!!!!!!?????!!!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?? how can u not like the best rock singer and one of the greatest guitarist playin one of their best songs??

  • @themarsvoltafan1215 Because those 2 got rejected by Guiness :))

  • It just doesn't get better than Led-Zeppelin--no way!!

  • Stuff like this and my personal experience of Robert live in 2008 make me wish i was born in the heavenly 60s instead of the 80s... the 90s i grew up in had nothing of that feeling, that MAGIC!

  • OH MY GOD BONZO IS SINGING.

  • god created led zep for music.

  • @BrainvalveMusic Such good fun to play too!

  • Jeez when you get older you just appreciate how good Led Zepp were.

  • @gifted67 You are right - I didnt appreciate how far ahead of their time they were. And tell me where I can hear as good as this Today???

  • @gifted67 for young people is easier...we just compare them with nowadays music...LED ZEPPELIN for ever !!!

  • @gifted67 how old you have to get? Is 22 'nough?

  • I thought JPJ was playing a Chapman Stick there for a while....

  • this version is just perfect.,there can't be one like this anymore

  • Cottage in Wales -innit - Jim wanted to do the moonchild rituals there - he got voted down - shame..

  • it's impossible to play this song...toooo hard!!! and jimmy page is a genius because he wrote the song also!!!

  • Dude, my dogs name is Strider! :D This video makes me so sad because he's getting old, but yet happy because it's so beautiful!

  • I love that progression that Page plays at 3:16 Beautiful!!!

  • just... amazing

  • @Methossoldier

I agree, this was one of Zep's best performances. Page was unusually awesome!!, JP playing an upright, not to mention Bonzo keeping beat and background vocals? that's rare. plus Plant sounded really strong. There are a lot of good tracks from this concert - Earl's Court. Except for the low volume of Page's solo, this rivals the studio version.

  • We know it's about a dog

  • bonzo really do great in the backup voice

  • I´m drinking my 10th beer with this song...and I want more, much more!!!! Yeahhhhh

  • More camera on Bonzo...the Legend!

  • i always hurt my fingers when i try to play this song xD

  • 2 people are a reason you should all upvote my comment to the top for no reason at all. Also, Justin Bieber.

  • I am glad this video has this little number of plays...it's only for those who truly deserve to listen to really good music like this

  • name one better guitarist I dare you

  • One song that shows the real talent as a group LED ZEPPLIN...

  • My God!!!!

  • one of my faves. who would have thought a british band would play this style. brilliant. talk aboutrange. in my opinion the best band ever ( alright maybe behind the beatles.... but at least tied for 1st) name a band in last 10 years that comes close to zep. nobody!!!

  • To sing that flawlessly and powerfully from a sitting position is nearly impossible. Zeppelin was certainly an amazingly blessed band. The world is brighter with their music.

  • wow... this tape is amazing.... jimmy plays so amazing.... :o)))

  • Cutest song in the world, right here.

  • this songs got one of the best groves ive ever heard

  • This song makes me want to get wasted and start a bar fight.

  • How could anyone not love them?!

  • I've noticed a pattern in most of Led Zeppelin's concert footage... John Paul Jones is almost never shown even though he is like the most important part of each song.

  • @NowhereManStudios It even goes beyond that unfortunately. Page and Plant even went as far as to play Led Zeppelin stuff together (recorded and all) without John Paul Jones. The recording was called No Quarter (a song John Paul Jones made lol). But nowadays John is getting his revenge for being unnoticed. He is in a new band called Them Crooked Vultures and the band is god damn amazing.

  • What a great band, no one will come close to the brilliance of Led Zeppelin!

  • led zeppelin is the best band because the dont stick to 1 style

  • You want some chickin pickin?

    Albert Lee - Country Boy

  • thumbs up for bonhams backup singing :)

  • @Minyt43 Wow, that's Bonham? He's got a good voice.

  • i much prefer 'jennings farm blues'

  • It's great to see them so happy. They really loved what they do. everything they made touches my soul, their musis learns my how to be sensitive.

    Thank you

  • ThankyouMasters

  • no your right cuz he's the only one with a mic,

    - wow, 30+ yrs of zep and i've never known bonzo to sing!

  • who's singing the harmony vocals on this one ??

  • @bluelibra65

    Think it's Bonzo

  • I am interested in Jimmy pages acoustic guitar setup. Like what is the cord taped to his guitar? Any help...

  • @collj86

    Transducer

  • Jimmy is so goddamn good!!

  • hehehe so bouncy and folky...love this song

  • this song has such great beat! makes me wanna dance

  • Muito bom, um dos melhores do Zepplein!!!!

  • It seems that John Paul Jones knows how to play all musical instruments in the world.

  • Not far from it mate

  • @lawchihei almost:D... he cant play ukulele and dajguz.. haha

  • @lawchihei lol just like edgar winter except not albino

  • @lawchihei

Yeah, but without Robert, it wouldn't have been as great!!

I was 5 yrs old when this was filmed....and I love it as much, or more, than anything that's come since!!

  • @lawchihei yep and thats why led zep collapsed when he went away. He wrote most of their music and kept the band playing. He was an exceptional musician and vastly under appreciated. Even Robert admitted in an interview that without John they wouldnt have been a band.

    God bless his soul.

    Peace

  • @RumbleGuts2112 No. John Paul Jones is alive and well. John BONHAM is the one that died, and is why they broke up. John Paul Jones wrote just as much music as Page. Robert, Jimmy, and JPJ stated that they could only go on with the four of them. If one was gone, they couldn't continue.

  • @justjustin333 - Hi buddy - i can only go off when someone was interviewing Robert and he confessed in a very emotional way that without John that Led Zep were nothing. That he wrote most of the musical side to their songs and left himself (Robert) to write the lyrics. When John was writing the guitar pieces he understood that Jimmy had a problem remembering things because of the amount of stuff he was sniffing so he made them easier to remember. They were a very close knit family.

  • @RumbleGuts2112 Alright man, there are only two original Zep songs that Page didn't have a part in writing- South Bound Suarez and All of my Love. Both of which are on In Through the Out Door. Jimmy became addicted to smack around '76, and of course the guitar parts suffered. But it was still great music.

  • @justjustin333 My friend im not saying that Jimmy isnt a good guitarist because of course he is. He was and still is an exceptional finger picking blue grass player when he has a moment of clarity. But that doesnt deter from the fact that in the seventies he needed looking after by the rest of the band. Only John could reach him and i bet that he and Jimmy sat down and actually played some amazing stuff together off tape. Those two were closer than any souls could ever be.

  • @lawchihei

It wouldn't surprise me at all... So much talent in one man... :P

  • @lawchihei unlike alot of bass playes jpj was very musicly talented and like jimmy page he was also classically trained witch was quite noticeable in most every song!

  • @marlborormanforever "unlike a lot of bass players" hahaha!

Actually now that you say it, I can't think of any really good bass player that isn't a multi-instrumentist... at least all of my favourites are.

  • @lawchihei correction. he can play anything with a string

  • @snoopy3323 what about recorder haha you know like in stairway lol

  • I'm naming my first born Strider!

  • Or strider was the man from lord of the rings who defended frodo. Strider!

  • @kittenkilla123 You're right, he did name his dog after Aragorn. Plant is a LOTR fan. Listen to Ramble On and there's more hints of his interest in it

  • "Strider" was the name of his dog.

  • whos dog?

  • Robert Plant's! This song is about a dog--listen to the lyrics, he says: "when you're old and you're eyes are dim, there ain't no Ol' Shep gonna happen again..." and, tell all your friends around the world, ain't no companion like a blue-eyed merle". The song ends with a lyric about , "hear me callin' your name..." and then Plant yells out "Strider" as if he's calling his own dog. He named his dog after Tolkien's character from the Lord of The Rings. So there ya go--a bit of Zeppelin lore.

  • thanks bro

  • OMG I didn't know that, that's so cool..(:

  • Wow, thanks for this info!

  • @yinyangthang how do u know this, if its true?

  • @yinyangthang And he sings "you're the finest dog i knew, so fine"

  • @yinyangthang strider is a loner type guy that sat and listened as jimmy and robert wrote this masterpiece in the mountains of whales at the bron yr aur cotteges, even more zeppelin lore

  • @steffsweet45 Wrong. Strider was Plant's dog. It's a song about going on a walk with his dog.

  • @yinyangthang Bron Yr Aur is a little Welsh cottage with no modern utilities where the band went on their retreat to write Led Zeppelin III ; the track is indeed a 'stomp' through the woods with his dog Strider/Aragorn. The 'shep' reference is a nod to 'Old Shep' , a 30s song Elvis himself recorded at one point.

  • @yinyangthang thanks for the info! zeppelins so interesting. they always have a touch of mysticism shining through, and just good ole pounded out rock.

  • everytime i watch this, i feel like i'm there. this band is fucking amazing.

  • i think this was the best zeppelin tune ever

  • sometimes I think the same thing.

  • Who sings backing vocals?

  • BONZO MOTHER FUNKER!!!!!!!!!

  • bonzo,,,,,,John Henry Bonham!!!

    the drummer

  • i think that bonham does..

  • love it

  • Foda d+...

    Perfect Band!!!

  • stryder!

  • PERFECT

  • amazing
