  • Simple sugars are candy. He says to eat lots of simple sugars, and then goes on and says dont eat candy. I think he means "eat complex carbohydrates, wich means no candy".. And he says his reasoning behind staying hydrated is because your burning lots of calories. Thats not right. You stay hydrated to replace liquid that your loosing via sweat.

  • 0:13 epic face hahahahahahahahaha

  • @MrCrazyChihuahua The look on that guy's face...

  • man your friend is always smiling :P i like that guy

  • seems these guys have never trained before by the looks of them

  • A typical eHow quality video. Don't listen to this guy. Does he look fit to you? He's moving in slow motion and both he AND his partner are overweight... I highly suggest you look up Ross Enamait. That guy is a boxer, coach, and athlete. He deadlifts 500 lbs can do burpees and sprints all day and is epically awesome. LOOK HIM UP if you want to be like Ali. =)

  • @PatrickSmithPhD you think ali did 500 pound squats?

  • Those gloves are so huge, it's just plain stupid. Who needs to block? Just put your hands out... no worries... And you're dead, dead wrong about "weight training". Strength training should be made a priority. Without strength, you can not practice your skill work. And without strength, movements as simply as jogging would be impossible. A high level of base strength makes endurance (easy stuff done a lot) easy. Strength is the base of all athletic skills. You are dead wrong. Typical eHow junk.

  • @PatrickSmithPhD Hmmm. You dont seem like a boxer. Because if you were you would know that they were WEIGHTED training gloves. Helps speed, power, bla bla bla. And not to mention idiot riding bikes like I do ( 4-12 miles daily) DOES in fact build muscle. Strength is NOT the base of all athletic skills. Look at Manny Pacquio or however you spell it :L. Hes small, but he TRAINS and learns how to HONE his strength.

  • @xPowerofwillx - True, I am not a boxer, but I AM a martial artist. I am also an avid reader and researcher of athletic development. Basic and fundamental strength is the base of explosive strength, reactivity, strength endurance, all sorts of things. The gloves are grossly oversized and I think if you read about the OLD boxers you'd realize it used to be totally different. Also, I never called you an idiot for riding a bike. Riding a bike is a great way to develop lower body endurance.

  • @xPowerofwillx - Also, Manny Pacquio IS strong. GSP is STRONG. Neither of them are BIG, but they are both quite strong. There are methods of training and eating to maximize the density of muscle tissue and to minimize the expansion of them. You don't HAVE to be big to be really strong. Sincerely,

  • @PatrickSmithPhD Yes, they are strong yet small, BECAUSE they learn how to hone their strength

  • @xPowerofwillx - No, they're strong because they have specific portions in their training that are intended to develop strength. They are small because the strength training that they do is specifically designed to increase strength while keeping them in their weight group. Of course they aren't strength athletes who chase numbers, but their coaches understand the importance of strength. That's why they're world class athletes. (continued)

  • @xPowerofwillx - Of course, strength is useless if you don't know how to use it. That's why skill training is SO important for athletes like boxers who compete in a very technical sport/martial art. I think what you mean by "learning to hone their strength" I mean by learning to USE it. In that, we are fully agreed. However, in order to hone or use something, you must first possess it. Regards, Patrick

  • DOPE:IM GETTING SURGERY SOON AND AFTERWARDS THIS SOUNDS GOOD:

  • @13rataclanSimple carbohydrates or simple sugars – These carbs are broken down and digested very quickly, but most simple carbs contain refined sugars and very few essential vitamins and minerals. Examples include table sugar, fruit juice, milk, yogurt, honey Complex carbohydrates – The complex carbs take longer to digest and are packed with fiber, vitamins and minerals. Examples include vegetables, whole grain breads, oatmeal, legumes, brown rice and wheat pasta.

  • that mexican guy just looks confused hahahaha

  • @Igman2020 - How can you lie like that? Geez! I wish people had it in their heart to be truthful.

  • @Igman2020 - From the information I've gathered, boxing is like 90% anaerobic and the rest is aerobic.

  • @Igman2020 - Sorry, but I just don't believe that. I hear boxers make that claim, but until I see a 3rd party independant group investigation, I will continue to believe that boxers make this claim in an effort to appear tough. In fact, I think the best way to prepare for the sport of boxing is to train in a manner that mimics the exact same conditions you will experience in the ring, and running is probably about 10-15% on average.

  • @Igman2020 - I'm gonna have to dismiss what you're saying as your personal opinion and not a fact. Until I actually see a boxer running 5 or more miles a day, I don't believe they do. I think the truth is that they jog 5 miles once, or twice a week and not every day.

  • the other puggy dude could do a few sit-ups

  • Cool

  • cool

  • He sucks

  • @bye5225 4 to 6

  • thanks for the advice Pitbull. This was a great help for me, the basic structure of the boxing lifestyle

  • @bye5225 4-6, lol

  • @vinnyMcDougal I thought he said 46! XD

  • Protein make you lathargic :|

  • does that even make sense "joging or riding the bicycle daily... 2 to 5 times a week"?

  • @YouCantAsk4More jogging or riding bike daily or atleast 5 to 6 times a week. cmon now mix n match

  • if u goin 3 round. one round is 2:60....

  • how long is each round??

  • @coldazice26 3 mins

  • I'm sorry but the black guy looks like a retarded gay guy... I'm sorry the way he opened his eyes all big

  • @JrAraiza hahahahahahahahahahaha.....

  • screw advertisements

  • So this is football?

  • Here's what I don't get. I often hear boxers and trainers say they run 5 miles a day. If you run 5 miles a day, how on earth can you spar, or shadowbox? You got no legs.

  • >.< where's the action? no more talk plsss.

  • something tells me the guy with the tattoo doesnt run 2-4 miles 5-6 ties a week

  • @chevygearhead454

    hehe :D

  • bla blablablabla and some more bla bla bla bla..

  • great tips, simple and to the point. Thank you, hope you have more vids coming soon.

  • I jump rope for 10 rounds most, shadowbox for 2 rounds, hit bag for 8, when I do mitts I do 3-4 rounds, speed bag 6 rounds, & run 1-2 miles. Am I suppose to do less because he saids to do alot less

  • @JrAraiza Jumpin for 10 rounds is probably not necessary.. good, but theres probably no need. i would probably try to hit the mits more.. at least as much as the heavy bag when a partner is at your disposal, and i would suggest kicking up the running to 3-4 miles..

its about the same amount of work, with different focus.

and GET REST. that is one of my faults.. i never rest enough.

  • @fso04 Another angry Beaner

  • All the boxers on YouTube that do instructional are either fat and out of shape or scrouny small bitches

  • I like the training video thanks for the upload i just got 1 question how long is each round? 2-5 mins?

  • @BigH145 2:30 minutes is a good for a workout round...thats what i train on.

  • The black guy casually nods in every boxing tips video with chris LOL

  • now by "rounds" does he mean 2-5min ?

  • @3ggh3ad 3 i think

  • @3ggh3ad - it depends on what length rounds your fighting at, im amatuer so we fight 2 min rounds - if your pro then 3 min. good luck.

  • he mean DO NOT eat simple sugars

  • nice

  • youtube reclame is nothing against my f5

  • its a ndn thing you guys wouldnt understand lmao! haha

  • @shanelleharvey Just don't sing for him.

  • They are being helpful....with knowledge and work...unlike you.

  • He do 3 rounds of 5 minute skipping, 3 sprints each round, when are coach tells us to sprint he says, "TAKE CONTROL OF THE FIGHT GOGOGO!" Then after 3 sprints and 4 1/2 minutes of hell, he makes us to 10 burpee's after each round.

  • 4 round of speed bag thats a little..

we do 8 rounds of speed bags and thats for noobs who bearly enter.

  • i love training dont mind getting hit... but resisting food thats the hardest part of boxing for me lol

  • @cam123cha lol. u aint lyin

  • @cam123cha mine too

  • This guy knows his shit.

  • eat simple sugars...sugars include starches. simple sugars are sugars like fructose and sucrose.

  • does he mean avoid simple sugars or eat simple sugars?

  • @dellbaz Avoid, simple sugars are the ones with poor nutritional value. Complex carbs like brown rice are the way to go.

  • i weight train. im a feather weight amateur boxer . im really fast , weight training is part of my conditioning its what makes me superior to my peers.. fly like a feather hit like a cruiser weight.. is my moto.lads just make sure you lift weights as heavy as you can, you ca burn all the access mass by running. and step up on the core training too with increasing speed to combine with the muscles ie.stamina that it needs.SOME WEIGHT TRAINING MAY HOLD BACK BOXING PHYSICALITY BEWARE OF THAT

  • "fly like a feather hit like a cruiser weight"

I wonder what iconic heavyweight boxer you ripped that motto off of...

  • @vivalasagne9 .. motto .. lol its equivalnt to the old phase. only difference is that big mouths get twice as hurt .. no names to be mnetioned vivalasagna9

  • @TheRey4you ND BY THE WAY THAT PHASE CAME FROM MOHAMMAD ALI.. MR INTERNET BOXER.. PLEASE DONT GET ME SCARED LOL

  • @TheRey4you equivalent*, phrase*, Muhammad Ali*, mentioned*, vivalasagne9*. Come on dude so many spelling mistakes! What are you talking about big mouths gets twice as hurt?

  • /b/tard

  • @newfagscanttrif0rce simple sugars is in fruit, candy is crappy sugar

  • his sidekick looks drunk

  • @yhr2006

    LOL

  • Do you have a tip for punching while jogging? I can't really focus on my legs if I punch. It becomes harder to run.

  • @sanjak ya bro try running and chewing gum simultaneously it teaches you to multitask

  • risk biting the tongue?

  • When you're out running, run for a couple of minutes, then do 5 seconds of punching (while running) then just run for 10 seconds, then mix in 10 seconds of punching, then 20 seconds of just running, then 20 seconds of punching, then back down, 10 seconds of just running, etc, etc. It's good training for the ring and it should help you keep the rhythm when you're running.

  • Thanks so much both of you. I run everyday so I'll try all your tips. :)

  • @sanjak jog on the spot and jab but not as hard like you would whiles trainning, you dont want to throw yourself and when your use to that try jogging outside.

  • HOW MANY HOURS SHOULD I WORK OUT DAILY

  • 4 to 6 usually sometimes 7.

  • 3 TO 5 HOURS atleast.i do infact spend alot of rounds in shadow boxing not just to warm up , but i like to take my time to create a mindset and create inner space so nothing can distract me in my days workout.

  • Do you workout every day?

  • well i work out 6 days a week 3 to 5 hours . and on sunday 2 hours . cus my body needs its wrest. sunday is all about the mind . not too physical on sunday. my coach makes sure im not destroying my body, and giving the best what it can give at the same time according to him

  • Cool Thanks :D
