I assume this video is on youtube as a link from somwewhere else. However if you're going to go inside a c905 this video is very good and complete. Just fixed my lens cover problem.
Thank you for this Tutorial. Because of that, my boyfriend was able to assembly my old mobile and it finally works. It looks like a bi***, but it works! Awesome!! :D I'm sooo happy!!
Can anyone please tell me the size of the Torx screws on the front of the phone underneath the slider? -- 4:30 -- the bigger silver ones at Torx size T6 but i need to buy another tool to undo the other smaller ones can anyone please help me with the size? Much appreciated!
Top video. But I can´t see anyway to check or repair the fast port connector which appears to have broken on my sons C905. Can´t charge the phone, connect to pc or use earphones which makes it pretty useless aghh. Any tips on this, and whether I can solder it back on if the connector is broken.
Nevermind. apparently part of the housing i received was defective. Not sure how, i guess it has contacts or something, but the original worked when i put it back. Only posting this in case anyone else has similar problems
First of all, great video! I used this video to change my phone cover. My only problem is now, my slider doesn't work. It will slide but it won't answer calls or lock/unlock the keys. And the lower keys won't light up. It's as if the phone think the slider is always down. I followed the directions to the "T" and i can't figure out what's wrong, any ideas? I'm not new to electronics but i'm lost. I can't even find anything that looks like it would make the slider know which position it is in.
WOW-What A professional educational training video, beautiful relaxing too - thank you - It will help me replace my old housing - Good luck with your future videos,a grateful viewer, Peter
Hii....i just disassembled my phone.....it wasnt working in the previous case....because my phone got drenched....but when i opened my phone thinking i could make my phone dry....but it was already dry....still my phone is not working.....can you give me any solution to it.....i am very sad on loosing my phone...any help would be highly appreciated!!
@Par4niacRespawn you cant fix it. It seems that some of the phones have annoying problems like that, (buttons w/no feedback) and the phone turning on and off, and freezing, and the fastport connections go out etc... The way to fix it is to wait for something else bad to happen, and then send it back if its under warranty. If its not, then do your research before you buy another Sony phone. It would seem they have been sub-par in terms of quality control lately. :(
@666volunteer yes, it is much brighter than the led flash, but it drains the heck outta your battery. And with numerous quick shots, sometimes you have to wait for the flash to re-charge.
Had to replace my camera for inop focus, and bad keypad.
Some extra tips...
@ 5:20 the serial number sticker was stuck to the phone's MOBO. Almost couldn't pull the back cover off without removing the sticker first.
@ 1:45 Make sure when you reinstall this cover you hook the bottom first. Then clip the rest down.
They didn't show the keypad removal, it just peels off the frame it's on with 3M adhesive. It is the same part as the camera button and that connector.

I agree with bicnarok with a need for an explanation about how to replace the fast port.
It gets bent inward from the pins on the charger and will not connect to the charger.
All that is needed is to be able to access the back so you can press the metal outward again. But is this possible.
If not, How do you replace the charging block?

hey cool.
the 'earspeaker' itself was fine, it was the flex cable that was the culprit.
easily replaced with the vid here.
pay attention to the vid, especially when trying to remove the top cover.
cheers
part was called "C905 TOP KEY FLEX'
