I simply love Gwen, she sang in the radio choir of my church New Hope Baptist in Newark, Nj. Which is the same church Whitney, Dionne and Sissy goes to. Her vocals are both silky and powerful, sassy and gospel like. She was a wonderful person. The last time I saw her was at the Octogon Club in NYC. She was very slim We miss you Gwen, but we know you are entertainng them in Heaven. Thanks for this beautiful music.. If you guys listen to Faith Evans she has a lot of Gwen"s tones and riffs.

This song, to me personally, is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL work of art; not to mention a wonderful testiment to the magnificent talent of the late Gwen Guthrie! When Gwen finally stepped out of the shadows as a background vocalist, and into the "light" as a solo recording artist, she blessed us with treasures such as this tune, "Just for You", "Close To You", and "Aint Nothing Going On But The Rent". Quite simply, a wonderful legacy, from a wonderful, talented vocalist! I love & miss her greatly.
