  • If you expound on the metaphor a little bit, libraries nowadays do resemble medieval Japan in that they are lawless, where a law-abiding library has no-talking, no-eating, and no-music rules. If you have a problem with malefactors in your library, hire some ritualistically trained warriors to take care of it. If only it were such a simple proposition.
