The lesson learned: Eat what you need, don't overeat and don't waste food. It spreads beyond World War 2, but for all time, all people. I once heard that if America used 1% less meat, and that meat went towards the hungry people in the world, they could solve world hunger. But that was a long time ago, anyways, there hasn't been a good harvest this year in most parts of the world, but it can be overcome if we didn't overeat or waste food, it's that simple.
