I have a serious question, I have trouble to find an answer to.
I hope you can help me out, or any 1 in here. Please PM me.
I have also the xboard 49 but I've heard and read that its possible to enable "split-key" So that i can for exsample link 1 intrusment in Fruityloops to the lower section on the xboard, and anothr intrusment on the upper keys.
Is this possible, or am i wrong here? cuz that would be awsome. Thanks <3
dood i jus got two midi's an E-MUx-board49 and a Roland EDIROL PCR-500,oh and a CUBASE-5 all of which I know absolutely nothing, not the 1st F'ing thing. The manuals require a PHD in engineering to learn 2 use them.I have clearly bitten off way more than I can chew,so intimidating,do you know if they have any DVD's on how to use the product,as I am lost, lost, lost. Too deep in the tech talk I guess.
Cool video great playing man. I got the same board only time I can hear it is through garage band on my mac book. I got to get a pc for my software cd's to even load up. For now I'm using my mpc and I take down time to try to figure out how to make melodies and play the keyboard peace.
nope midi is not audio. Midi is used to transmit midi signals to your computer or an other midi device.
You cant connect the xboard to any amp because it has nog build in sounds.
You need some program which has sounds in it or a sampler.
The xboard comes with Proteus X LE this software has over a 1000 sounds. You only have to connect the xboard to the computer via midi or usb (dunno if the xboard has an usb out
has it got touch ( to feel ur fingers force ) and can i put 2 different instruments on the same keys - at the same time ??? - and can i have piano at the half left keys - and guitar at the half right???? plz tell me... BB , u r good... :)
Yes, You can set up to 4 different zones with different midi channel. Also You can change notes ranges for zones and few other things... and also yes, it has semi-weightet feel. I've been trying many other similar controllers and finally I got this X-Board.
thanks a lot for relying - i m gonna start a band with 2 of my friends, i have an "ok" yamaha keybord, but i want something better, ll be play chords and the melody of songs- whether me or the guitarist, will be swapping. and less often i ll play solos... i m intrested on the 61-key model. ty - OH>.. Does it have speakers or i have to use others?? and what jacks does it have ? can i put extra speakers ( whether it has, or not) and can i put a microphone.... somewhere there ^^. :)
One question. The Xboard keys are semi-weigthed? (like MAudio Axiom) or ligth-weighted, as regular synthetizers? I've tried to get this info, but its not clear at all!
Hagood Hardy eat your heart out! LOL Very nice playing. Maybe a little more work on your velocity, as it was really 'heavy' for the last half. Aside from that, you be almost as good as Gould. ;)
i got the same one i got to ask is there a setting on it to where you dont have to push hard to make it sound i notice i got to push hard on it

@luisbace If I had to guess, it'd probably be Proteus X, because that's what emus are most compatible with.

sharkgiammy - like degrotepeter said - midi is not an audio. It is just communication between harwares and/or softwares.
SLIDERS001 - I haven't used any vst here.
What I use is an Orion software (synapse-audio com) and piano soundfont on Sampler module.
Orion is a high-quality software where You can produce really professional productions (+advanced mastering possibilities).
