@12345678987323 Well, if you want a technical answer, I think people have an issue with Skrillex being dubstep because the typical dubstep beat is usually 2-step beats (ie. having only one main kick and snare in a bar), with a healthy amount of shuffle in there. In that sense "First Of The Year (Equinox)" from Skrillex actually is dubstep (or harder to argue against, at least), but a lot of his other stuff is more 4/4 dance beat driven, so not "true" dubstep according to some.
