I liked her albums "Voyeur" w/some awesome tunes like "The Arrangement" w/Martha Davis of The Motels, "Cafe Racers", and "Barking at Airplanes" and her "Gypsy Honeymoon" cd has a Jenni Muldaur song "Chain Letter." She wrote good tunes and had good taste in songwriters! Wish she would play NYC!

If I recall correctly, Kim Carnes was an amazing talent that, despite a number of flirtations with fame, was not the kind of artist that fit into the 'pop-star' constraints of the era (or this era, as well). Such a treat to hear this song again and be reminded of all that she did. Her work holds up pretty well.

There is obviously more to Kim Carnes than "Bette Davis Eyes". I like the other two singles from "Mistaken Identity" - the title track and "Draw of the Cards". Great gravelly voice, like Rod Stewart.
