The Ferrari 512s was a great car, shame that the fragile mechanicals of the car meant it was regujlarly outpaced in races by the Porsche 917. Ferrari looked like they were set to turn the tables on Ford with their GT40 and then Porsche showed up with the 917, to clean up before the 5 litres were banned in 1971.
