  • Though the hand movements are a little distracting this is still very very good

  • While it can be misinterpreted as conducting, this technique creates a lifting effect in the voice, which makes sense for this piece at this tempo, because it often goes flat. Very nice recording though, great blending on a difficult piece.

  • Beautiful... Great job with the breathing exercise and it gave individual expression. Who is the Choral Director ? She's incredible...

This choir should cherish the time you have together because you will remember these years and music for the rest of your life. Bravo!!! can't wait for next post Congratulations again.

  • @stmarkatl2121 Pat Wiehe is the choral director; earlier in the year, the NC Counterpoints performed at the National ACDA conference to more than 12,000 directors. Talk about a tough crowd.

  • BEAUTIFUL sound, I am very impressed this is a high school! The Russian is a little suspect, but...wow. Congratulations!

  • North Central High School on the north side of Indianapolis, IN. just south of Carmel High School.

  • kk thanks.

  • I'm so proud!!! Brought tears to my eyes!

  • They did this song in '05 as well right? I dont know which version is better theyre both Amazing, then again everthing this choir does is amazing. Beautiful performance...correct me if i'm wrong, but each person was supposed 2 be conducting their own part right? well if so i think thats pretty creative, great rendition.

  • It's a breathing/expression technique, not conducting. Our choir would be horrible if we all conducted our own tempos :P

  • oh ok, well it looks really cool lol.

Great job again...wat part do u sing?

  • thanks. I sing bass. it's the best.

  • Go Basses! =p

btw where are the counterpoints located???

  • we also do that in our choir, I'm surprised to see that there are other choirs who also use movement!

  • it actually is conducting b/c of everyone's parts being so different.....yes it does help us w/ technique but it does also help us with coming in on our correct times....which equals conducting=].
