Heart, break free of Mammon's fetters, / Hands now, scatter good abroad! / Make ye soft my dying pallet, / Build for me a solid house, / Which in heaven ever bideth / When earth's wealth to dust is scattered.

  • This recording reminds very much of the recently by ´blago030´ uploaded one withTölzer boys Christian Immler and Helmut Wittek from 1984 (?). Are those two singing here too, or other Tölzers?. Anyhow both recordings are with Harnoncourt, although with different accompaniment.

  • The vocal part of this version is suggestive of the 'grown-up Tölzer boys' in Harnoncour's one, to be sure, but as a whole, calmer than that... Is this Leusink's performance with Ruth Holton(Soprano) and Sytse Buwalda(Counter-tenor)? It's a good atmosphere.

  • Soli Deo Gloria!
