Ok, so how did you fix them. I'm having choppy animations with 64 bit kernel with either ATI 2600 XT, nVIDIA 8800 GT or nVIDIA 285 GTX.
In 32 bit kernel they are smooth with 8800 GT, but occasionally get choppy with GTX 285.
It's really annoying that Apple can't make something as simple as 2 dashboard widgets animate smoothly with a freaking GTX 285 !! That's some criminally negligent programming.
