Whoa, Ive always wanted to surf Costa but I've always dreamed of going to Pavones because f its long glassy rides. But Playa Negra looks amazing!!! The only negitive I had about Pavones is that it is a left, and I am regular footed. This is a point break so it looks perfect! Is it always like this?

i guess "Big Waves" is different for everyone. To me, this looks fun size. Big waves require big boards. We call them "guns". They are long and narrow. I'd take out my 5"10" twin fin on this day.
@hotrats420 Actually if you check well, it is around 1-2 ft over head, wich is a nice ride, if you get hit by that wave you will have a very FUN moment xD, also take in consideration the strongh of the Swell

Is this your big wave in Costa Rica? what a joke. I am really considering to cancel my trip to Costa Rica and go to Mexico or El Salvador instead
