how do you do that thumb fill thing? The mics in the way and I want to know.. Do you pick using your thumb on the down strum? When I listen to the original song I hear a lot of picking fill the space between the strums too, how do you do that?

He doesn't know what the chord is because it isn't really a common named chord.

One question... does anyone get the 2 downstrokes with the thumb? I mean, they are not done with the same chord... is it open chords or... I couldn't really get it

@sorenpt I'm not sure what you mean, but when you hear 2 bass notes followed by the chord, it's usually the index finger picking the 2nd lowest note of the chord, then the thumb picking the lowest, then the full strum. I see Jack Johnson doing that on a lot of his songs during live performances.

I figured it out just by watching him play and by looking at the root of the chord his playing. Try listening to one of Jack Johnson's live where he played Better Together And Angel. Brad and Jack (in the live) were playing the same chords

some taylors are hard to play but mine is extremely easy. The strings are not to high. I also use elixer strings but I don't know if that makes a difference.
