  • 1:15 RISE MY MINIONS!

  • I saw them in Saint Petersburg, Russia and they were absolutely amazing!

  • i bet hitler would cum if he would have seen this

  • She absolutely looks like Nicole Kidman...both are smokin"!!

  • As a Welshman,I have to say that I love The Irish.

  • I could watch this all day long, especially those gorgeous Irish Colleens!

  • If Flately is Lord of the Dance. then surely Jean Butler is Goddess Of Riverdance!

  • his shirt is a bit too big for him

  • PERFECT

  • But I don't want to be a pirate!

  • when music stop i hoped he got shot

  • :D That main guy is probably gay, but dammit I bet he is the only guy who could pick up girls simply by clicking his heals. :D

  • @Tsuchinoko13 Have you ever seen his full shows? Highly doubt he's gay by just seeing that. x] And I've seen a documentary about this once, seems he has kids and a wife. :U

  • @StinkyWeirdo :D Ohhh. Okay then.

  • This is phenomenal, the timing, the choreograpy, the pace, the cohesion all work so well together, this is ART!!

  • now do the dancing while playing the drums.

  • Pretty gay. Totaly fucking awesome. But pretty gay.

  • @NapalmandCyanide You just ruined it for me by calling it gay.

  • Like german soldiers @ marching^^

  • Ah! My God. Evetytime I see this is gives me chills, amazing! This is the best version of this dance, especially when they are dancing down those steps! ;)

  • What makes Irish dancing so great is that it's like a machine which draws you in and captivates with a precise rhythm that overwhelms and holds you into submission! Okay a bit over the top but still pretty awesome!

  • Always amazing - Brendan taught me! Ireland 4Ever!!!!!

  • Good

  • @XxLilIrishDinosaurxX Hey FUCK YOU,you carpet licker!!!! I think the dance is beautiful! But why do this man gotta walk around with his shirt open? im sure its young kids in the audiance! One of the acts shows some sort of occult theme, and one was like a gang fight. So I can say what I feel, BITCH! Now say what you said to a black female or male!

  • Comment removed

  • @XxLilIrishDinosaurxX You have toooo much time on your hand too be battling with me over a dance and comments. And you talk about verbal abuse?! what the fuck are your doing to me???? I'm gonna be the adult here and end this cyber feud with you, Happy new year, drink some irish brew, get laid, you need some!!! Oh! dont swallow!

  • I'm a grown man, 34 years old, but this video makes me tear uo every time i see it.

    And i know why.

It is because i can see mankinds potential to work together so well in this video and every time i look at the news i see only our capability to work against ourselves.

And that, if nothing else in this, is sad...

  • Tabs anyone??...

  • I love it when they're dancing together, but I didn't like the solo. Frickin Swan Prince(ss), your dance partner is twice the lady you'll ever be!

The rest of them are full of win, though.

  • SOMEBODY teach me how to RIVERDANCE!! These people are FANTASTIC!!

  • You better watch collin again shamrock, flately cant even come close haha

  • 81 Losers don't like...

  • i remember watching this and trying to imitate them when i was 5 years old..

  • Does Jean Butler look like Nicole Kidman or is just me?

  • @ashli674 more like Nicole Kidman looks like Jean Butler :)

  • @ashli674 aree but the asshole dancing with her? h

the gut who folloed was better saw then twicw and THE CAST TERRIFIC

  • @ashli674 She does resemble Kidman. Both are very attractive women.

When Ms.Butler shakes her hips -- ay yay yay!!!

  • @ashli674 just you look like nicole kidman

  • he is the humming bird of tap dance

  • That stage must've set them back a couple hundred bucks...

  • He sucks compared to collin

  • @marantz6 you fuckin kidding me..

  • As soon as you see those drummers come out, you know some serious f**ked up dancing is gonna happen!

  • LIKE ONE!!!!!!

  • Chuck Norris invented this!

  • Im torn for pride over my norse and my irish ancestry after watching this.

  • for some reason at 1:35 i imagined neo and seraph jumping through the scene while beating the shit out of each other

  • God bless the micks! What would we do with out them.

  • Awsome!! But hey ... What's with Edward Norton doing the gallop? xD Go man Go!!

  • EEEEEPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIICCCCCCCC WWWWWWWWIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN

  • OMG I want to learn to do this!!!

  • @iglov5 maybe you see it this way, but michael does the most of the special acts, who are very intensive, I think !

  • @iglov5 ofc he has a solo it's his show. What if singers would only sing in group and not solo just the same thing

  • @iglov5 Are you talking about the Riverdance acts he's done, or the Lord of the Dance stuff? Lord of the Dance is HIS show. He can do with it what he wants. And Lord of the Dance tells a story. If you like it, you'd know this.

  • @StinkyWeirdo I actually do Irish Dancing and our concerts we all get to be on the stage equally so I guess I'm not used to seeing him on the stage the most. And Lord of the Dance I understand he can be on that as many times as he wantbcos I love that show. But I was talking about THIS show

  • @iglov5 Well no shit

  • @iglov5 1. He is the lead role of the show, he has to have a few solos :p it's no different than a main character of an act having a monologue..

    2. So what if he's full of himself? he can be when he's that good.

  • @iglov5 umm, that is what it takes don't be jealous

  • @iglov5 it;s a called a solo - step up?

  • @iglov5 I believe he was the co-creator,and that;s why he left for Lord of the Dance as the Wheaton guy his partner and he had a huge money dispute. And yes, I agree he is a show boat.He also is one of the reasons this art form became so popular.

  • Mother of God...

  • yay swedish tv 2? =D

  • I do this everytime I drink Jameson, too.

  • Love how the main dancers always leave the other ones to get on with it, tbh they're the stars

  • and my mom said I couldn't take tap because it's for girls... BS! Look at what I'm missing :/

  • @superstar4567 Fred Astaire was also a tap dancer back in the day of your mom...bet she didnt think of him as girly - too many labels nowadays - back in the twenties and thirties it was seen as been very masculine if you could dance because it meant you were fit and strong.

    Peace

  • No words for this..... simply great...

  • 2:35-2:37 wow.

  • Of course they used microphones folks, how do you think it was recorded!?! Forget about that, just enjoy the music and talent!!!

  • There was less discipline in the Roman Army...

  • Seinfeld gave him his puffy shirt

  • its like watchin people version of happy feet

  • how the hell did i get here?

  • da kann ich nur sagen sehr beeindruckend

  • This is amazing, I'd find it hillarious if the irish started doing something like this in the rugby like NZ has the Haka. or perhaps like a battalion of warriors rolled up to battle and just starting tap dancing. like in braveheart instead of the they make take our lifes but not our freedom speech :P

  • I prefere this finale over the other ones that are like this. I like the 1996 better

  • OMG. this is amazing how they all work together. Has to be hard and long hours of practice XD lol Luv it. No way i cant.

  • yeah i can do it while taking a shower :P

  • Talk about happy feet..

  • @Physicskid1000

lol yeah. This just as good as happy feet the movie :D

  • foot acrobat

  • Hey look its butters from south park!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rien à dire chapeau

  • stupid top comments

  • I think you people put too much effective on the sound, rather then the amazing foot work these very talented dancers are able to perform with such precise movements

  • i love it!! respects, flawless performance, i love riverdance and has some similarities with turkish horon

  • 1:15 its like army marching :)

  • Had the pleasure of seeing Michael Flatley perform live and it was amazing! Have seen Riverdance twice now and hope to see it again and again! They are truly talented dancers.

    x

  • What i like most with things like this is how totally amazing they are in sync! =D. But Nothing can beat "S.T.O.M.P" =D

  • I Am Now, PROUD. TO . BE. IRISH :D

  • i would be tired after 10 seconds....

  • do they have microphones on their shoes ? :P

  • @lukazdpro7 I'm an irish dancer and no, but the shoes can get pretty loud. And I've heard that they put mics under the stage in some places.

  • @SmileCauseItsWorthIt aye thats cool ....:P shouldnt u know that if u were irish dancer? :PP

  • @lukazdpro7 I'm not usually on stages this big, so there's no need for mics other than the musicians.

  • @lukazdpro7 No, actually they're specially made with small metal plates in the front of them so they make that sound. I used to do Irish dancing, they're heavy as crap though xD

  • @lukazdpro7 you can see the microphones at the end of the stage :P

  • @lukazdpro7 rite underneath the stage buddy

  • @lukazdpro7 No, but the have plenty of microphones on the stage. They also have metal plates under their shooes to emphasize the sound of their tapping.

  • @lukazdpro7 the microphones are actually typically in the floor so that they can be amplified. Its amazing how well they stay together

  • @lukazdpro7

Nope. They just have metal plates on the bottom of their shoes. And I bet it's probablly hollow wood floors, so that helps with the sound. It's awesome.

  • @lukazdpro7 i think so

  • @lukazdpro7 i think so

  • @lukazdpro7 I don't know if your question was ironical or not, but in case it wasn't, they don't have microphones on their shoes. What they do have is metal inserts on the soles and they "tap"(lol - it's tap dancing) very hard on the floor.

  • @varstamea Not to mention the boom mics at the front of the stage, you can see em when the camera pans out - picks up all the little nuances the tap shoes make.

  • @lukazdpro7 I used to be an Irish Dancer and I know those shoes can be REALLY loud. However in a giant stadium of thousands of people I'm sure they had microphones under the floor boards.

  • @lukazdpro7 The floor is made of two wood panels put together with a hollow centre and there are small mircophones surrounding the stage floor. Pretty cool! XD

  • @lukazdpro7 sometimes in shows

  • @lukazdpro7 Nope. Cloging is REALLY loud.

  • @lukazdpro7 I think what they usually do is to have microphones built-in beneath the stage....

  • @lukazdpro7 no its really that fuckin' loud^^

  • @lukazdpro7 there are microphones at the edge of the stage and also beneath it.

  • @lukazdpro7 No,they are quite loud shoes and the sound from 1 pair could reverberate through a building if the acoustics were great.

  • @vikingwarlord1250 they also have 2 mics in front of the scene

  • this performance is the boss!

  • You can't buy this version anymore...unless someone is selling their copy in vhs xD...i have the vhs version and i can't get it on dvd...the first version ever...never to be found again :P

  • No "psia mać" No!!!!! No czapki z głów buty z nóg marynarą o glebę, oponentów z "dyńki". Szacun wielki dla ludzi za coś takiego, no!!!! Jakby co każdemu wiadro dropsów ode mnie,. Kto za łapka w górę!!!!

  • I'm actually nodding to the finale as if I'm at a freaking white chapel performance.

I've got to admit, this is truly wonderful.

  • It is simply chilling.

  • GO THE IRISH!

  • what's the name of that kind of drums? thanks!

  • He created an army of dancing robots. Impressive.

  • Can you imagine the blisters after a performance such as this?

    What an incredible video.

  • @AlwaysUnited there was a documentry on river dance explaining the awful amount of blisters just after one show

  • I dont know who are those 73 morons who disliked such a wonderful performance.. Truly the lord of dance..

  • He probably had sex with all those girls after haha

  • Thats truly amazing!

  • Michael grew up on the south side of Chicago and went to Little Flower high school. He was a plumber until he found his true calling. I saw them in Chicago. they were soooooooooo gooooooo!!!!!!!!!

  • @goodtogonow3 they were goo? lol

  • Utterly brilliant. Michael Flatley is truly amazing. And to be fair, Jean Butler appears

much more when you see the whole of the River Dance. I bought the video of the whole show but I played it so often it wore out!

And such co-ordination from the rest of the many dancers....
