@SugarbabyLA Amazing! Although, I'm curious of what type of software you used to put all the parts together. Would you mind sharing how you put this all together? :D
I have been thru 4 or 5 of your posts and am deeply moved by your talent! Noticed you to begin with thanks to TedTalks where Eric highlited you! You are and have an amazing Talent!
It's lovely that you're doing these things. I think it's very impressive! As a singer, it's obvious that you're making great strides, and still working toward improvements. I suggest that they next improvement you strive for is a silent inhalation. It would make you singing so much more seamless, and allow for a consistency of sound without the gaspy interruptions. Keep up the good work! :-)
I commented on your "Think of me" video that it looked like lip syncing due to it being quite doubtful that the camera would have that good a microphone. This video, on the other hand, proves your awesome singing capability. Although I have to say I laughed when I heard the bass. Beautiful singing, anyway! Keep it up!
How did you keep tempo? I'm thinking doing something similar but not sure of the logistics of it all. By the way, you have a fantastic voice. I'm an Equity actor and sing professionally and just wanted to say that you have a BRIGHT future ahead of you. Keep singing!
your voice is amazing! i just wish you were weren't smiling all the time lol, it makes the song look and feel less serious... =/ but the vocals were beautiful!

Amazing videos :) I've just spent the best part of half an hour looking through asll your videos, so I hope you don't mind I'm just going to comment on one of them :P Have you ever thought of doing something like Hide and Seek, by Imogen Heap?
How in the world could something this wonderful have only 4,622 hits?!?!?! Amazing voice, intonation, articulation, balance, dynamics, timing, and choice of song. This is one of the most talented youtube vids i think Ive ever seen! What program do you use to mix the tracks?
@Chimeraphim Wow, I am very humbled by your comment :) Thank you so much. I use Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0, but I am currently looking for something better.... lol.
OMG, i love your vid. this is def one of my top 5 fav eric whitacre songs!
Heres a tip tho: for the part of "Bid her come forth, etc." it's obvious u had to digitally lower your voice. i dont blame u lol, thats a bass part. but what i sometimes do to make it sound less distorted is i sing it like a only third or a fifth higher than the actual pitch, so that when i lower it, theres less distortion. idk if thats what u did or whether u just sang it up the octave. either way, it sounded great!
Way to go Melody, that was beautiful. The video set-up looks great, with the background and the flower in your hair. And it's great to actually hear and see you in HD (woot!). I too think you don't need to sing SATB scores and transpose it artificially with programs. You should look for all female arrangements: Try a-cappella(dot)com, their site has lots of great arrangements for less than $2. Good luck for your contest. PS : I sang the full bass line for our collab', now working on the tenor!
Its a quite amazing voice you got. You'll sure get my vote. Have watched some of your videos for some time. I hope to see you in a professional career soon. :) good luck from sweden.
Have you tried using a program called Melodyne to pitch shift your parts for the bass track? You can take your recorded voice and shift it down the octave or so you need and it will sound much more natural. It still won't be perfect, but it might make the lower parts sound less "digital" and keep your diction clearer. Hope this helps! Love your videos, as always!!
@BassMeister17 No, I haven't actually, never heard of it, THANK YOU! :D I will seriously look into that haha. :) Do you know how much it costs? And/or where to get it? I hope it works on Windows. :)
@SugarbabyLA It is for both Mac and Windows! It is a bit pricey for the basic version, about $250. But, of course, there are other ways to get it cheaper...if you are so inclined. :-P You can download a demo of the program that allows you to load and edit 10 seconds of audio, if you would like to try it! I've used this program in my studio and the modifications you can do to a voice range from completely transparent to T-Pain! haha
@BassMeister17 Holy crap! $250 Hm? I guess I could look around.. Thanks soooo very much for the info and tips, I really appreciate it! :) And I'm guessing you can download the demon online?
By the way... sounds awesome! I really would love to have it haha.
@thatoneguywithdaface Thank you sooo much! I'm so glad you like it. :D College is very awesome yet time consuming haha. And I'm going to Cumberland University :)
You seriously need to NOT stop making these recordings! They are absolutely amazing and you manage to do better each time! It actually scares me that you're soo good! :) I can see you're moving along on your "requests" and I really hope you'll do "The Voice" by Celtic Woman which I wished for a while ago. :) If you'd do that, you would make me even more happy than what I am at the moment after listening to this brilliant piece! Way to go! :)
@mrlime Awww!! You're sooo sweet! Thank you so much! I wish I could say more than thank you... haha. <3 And YES! The Voice should be my next video, I actually started on it before Go, Lovely Rose, but for some reason my voice just wasn't hitting the notes right for me. Hopefully I will get the video up in about a week or so? Maybe this weekend! Depends on if I have a free day :D
@weesamin Hmmm... well, to tell you the truth, I create the audio first, then go back and sing with it to create the videos. And yes and no. I actually created this at my pace, and dissected it little by little to get everything (almost) perfect haha.
@MrMusiclover389 Hahaha thank you! And, well... that's to be expected because I don't have someone close by to sing the bass parts for me, oh well. xD
THIS SONG IS SO PRETTY! And then seeing the info, I got super excited cause I was also born in July...in the year 1991!
