what rly happend in 1999? about kargil thing??? all i know was that some mujahid ppl went to kargil using wrong way and they were blocking all food and other imports to india..for which reason there were chances of war..i also heard that pakistani presedent ordered them ppl to come back from kargill they wrent army thy were some one else..i heard they were geting from one mountain to other by the time indian army was attacking them back..lik that they were safly attacking india..very bad thing.

@coolriz18 There are a series of agreements between India and Pakistan since the 60's(like Simla accord)- to reduce the stress on troops of both countries & to cut costs. Because the hilly terrain is unsafe in winter, both countries withdraw troops from forward positions just before snowfall and return in spring. In 1999, Pakistan sent its troops(and mujahideens)early, into Indian territory, and occupied swathes of land. India undertook military action to evict the Pakistanis. Thats Kargil War.

@crackingguy123: Which statistics?! There is no yardstick to compare. Unlike that in India, the exact numbers of injured and dead soldiers in Pakistan are not known and will not be known to Pakistanis themselves. The war was thrusted on India and it won; albeit with deaths of its soldiers of which some of them could've been avoided.
