this is exactly why beckham should leave the MLS. In the US, his fine passing have no effect because his teammates can't finish properly apart from donavan. In Milan every single head can pick off his passes and do something effective with it. Becks time at LA was only perceived to be his declining stage because his teammates can't keep up with his skill

Beckham reminds me of a top notch NFL quaterback who can launch a perfect spiral and help his teammate score touch downs. This free kick is a textbook example for all the soccer coaches out there.

Being the tallest in the team Ambrosini was the obvious choice to head the ball and the Lazio players knew that. Senderos executed a perfect pick allowing Ambrosini to run to the far post. Then there's Beckham's almost perfect delivery. I say almost becos If the ball was a foot higher Ambro would not have to adjust his body the way he did (see how the ball dip during the last 10 feet of its flight).

This goal wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Senderos' pick. Ambrosini had been tied up I think by Ledesma and the ref had to whistle down the kick and have it re-taken..on the re-take they (Ambro & Lazio Player) were still grappling but Senderos sends the pick and Ambrosini peels off his marker and has a free header on goal.

Just to echo Beckham's vision by an earlier commenter: in a previous game Beckham from a corner kick picked out Ronaldinho in a crowd of 15 or so players in the penalty box. dino's reaction was however slightly off (he skyed the ball subsequently), or it would of been a gorgeous goal as well.

If you really noticed and watching carefully, see how Beckham actually WAITED for Milan players to make the run first, after the whistle was blow, before he strikes the ball. So..I dare say it WAS the ball who found Ambrossini instead of the other way around. In other word, Beckham IS a player with one of the greatest visions ever and he IS a very intelligent player! Cheers!
