  • Vocals start before lead singer starts??? He looked to be pre-occupied in deep thought. bout something.... JD gives him a friendly nudge to get with the program..

  • What a great tune! I love it :)

  • so sweet!

  • Thank you twinPaula for the reply and info: Truly a mis-statement by Ricky Wasson. If ya watch closely you can see as he realizes his error in stating that JD recorded this back in 1932. This Simon and Garfunkle song wasn't written until the 60's.. JD gives him a little pat on the back to help him re-gain his composure.. Geat song Great band, I have many of their recordings.....

  • @hartpen

It's a joke, Of course JD is the oldest in the band and get's kidded in running jokes....all the time.

  • @hartpen I think Rickey was merely joking when he said Mr, Crowe had recorded this in 1932, as they had been joking at the beginning of this clip. And if you watch closely Rickey bumps into JD's headstock when the vocals start. Thank you for this post it is my jdc&ns song ever!

  • @hartpen JD wasn't even born in 1932. I believe he was born in 1937 but I can't be positive. He's from my home state here in Kentucky and he is the father of Bluegrass as far as I'm concerned. He and his band drew huge crowds when they played in the large hotels here a number of years ago. They still play our local big festivals. JD and the New South are fabulous.
