I really don't understand where the media is coming from when they preach about Joe being such a great guy. He is a classless cheap shot artist that always gets away with it.

Really frustrating to watch Thornton ice Howard virtually every chance he got during this series. Also frustrating to watch him dive and try to hurt people after the whistle is almost every game he plays..

The Wings simply made too many mistakes and the bounces didn't go their way and it was too big a hole to climb out of.  But what prompted me to make that comment was that I had a lot of respect for Joe Thornton until he took that dive, and it is clearly a dive - look at him laughing in the box.

He looks like he's been shot - you don't see him grab an ankle - and then seconds later is laughing about it in the penalty box. The laughing is the one thing I appreciate about it because even he knows it wasn't the greatest acting job in the world, but it WAS an acting job. There are plenty of other Sharks fans - most of them that I've seen - that even say that was a bad dive.

Zetterberg is a great two way player also. Kronwall is one of the best hitters in today's game. And Stevie Y was the definition of Captain. And I certainly count several Sharks players among the best in the league - hell, Boyle saved more than a couple of goals by himself in that series with some timely stick lifts and great coverage. And Niemi was a wall of frustration, the guy is great and may just well pull this series with Vancouver out on his own....

Sure it's a bit of a laugh, and it's only one action, but it's the kind of thing I'd like to see a lot less of in the league and one of the reasons I like the Wings so much. I'm glad to see Jumbo playing well and hope he doesn't do that again. He can lead by example and I hope he does.
