How does the bank respond when you bring these back? Are they like, hey no problem -- or do they scowl and give you the evil eye?

I get them at one bank (Chase) and bring them back to another (not Chase). The bank I bring them back to is my personal bank. I'm friends with the people there. I speak to them all the time. Basically, we're friends and they don't mind. Business is business, and they are my bank.

I take what i said back. I searched a box of canadian pennies yesterday and found a 1902 indian head in fairly nice condition and a 1929 and 36 canadian so that was the best penny box finds ever!

nice 1920 canadian. you wont find anything older for canadian pennies because thats the year we went to small pennies from the larger type. nice 1909 american too. not even i have found a 1920s canadian penny in circulation.

So was mine (except for Indian Head cents) until last week. I wish I saw an "S" mintmark. I'll keep plugging away.

glad someone is finding the good stuff, on my 6 box of pennines and have only found less then a doxen wheats, and 4 canadians, The coins out of the Fed in KC must be worked over good.
