I played with both of these guys at the Ponderosa Stomp a couple of years before this video, and they did Suzy Q together on stage with us, so I don't think this is the first time in 52 years, but still an incredible piece of video! Dale was always great, I backed him in L.A. once and waited on stage for 20 minutes while the promoter scrambled to get cash in hand for Dale so he would go on, I loved that.

Be careful, a cover of this song that I recorded by the LeRoi Brothers was one of three strikes that I got since January of 2007 and it cost me three channels and 1000 video uploads. One channel was all about wormfarming and organic gardening. When Google tries to link your e-mail accounts together don't do it. It's a trick and I fell for it. Create a separate e-mail address for every channel and don't let Google link them together, just say no. I learned the hard way.

Great Video! I've played a lot of Dale Hawkins music on my radio program. I saw him perform live three times. I'll be playing more of his music on the radio in 2010. I'm going to miss him. RIP Dale. Your music will live on.
