  • Well it just turns out that since the U.S. first went into Somalia in the 90's Somalia still hates the U.S. These people are what caused operation gothic serpent to go wrong and turn it into black hawk down. One of the Somalian captains said "without victory there can be no peace. There will always be killing." And strangely, he was right.

  • @246golf

That's quite true. And sadly, but assuredly, as long as Somalis, or others, try to assault Our ships, or the ships of others, they will be liquidated. The ship they assaulted was caring supplies for Somalia and other poor countries. Life's ironies are vast, damaging and sad. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • real heros

  • @lockateard17

That's affirmative! Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • Stan Grant reports for C.N.N now!? Congratulations on your success brother. (he's an indigenous Australian)

Yes, cool guy, from the Wiradjuri tribe. Thanks for pointing that out. Cheers!

  • From the Harry Walker Agency, a speakers bureau:

Captain Richard Phillips, of the Maersk Alabama, is the author of "A Captains Duty: Somali Pirates , Navy SEALs, and Dangerous Days at Sea," about his experience and his remarkable rescue. This dramatic story is also heading to the big screen courtesy of Columbia Pictures.

  • @Demo9237

    LOL! Great. Agreed too.

  • @Demo9237 it's morOn

  • Well the Iraq War was fucking pointless, ALL Bush needed to do was send in Special Forces to take out Hussein, it would've been that simple. Few if any casualties, and problem resolved.

  • @Demo9237

That's exactly right. Thanks for the great comment too. We have a video up titled "Obama send in Special Forces" which is along the lines of what you accurately said. Thanks again for watching and the great comment too!

  • Sadly.

  • If you fuck with the US, be ready to take a big red, white, and blue dick up your ass.

  • @HellionX

And then some! Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • Although i have not seen any real proof, it was said the SEALs involved in this rescue were part of DEVGRU aka SEAL team 6. They're considered the most elite and secretive of all the SEAL teams. Very similar to the Army's DELTA force.

  • Yes, DEVGRU was formed from the Team 6 members, but it isn't exactly like Operational Detachment Delta. Delta is mostly a ground element. Where they do some maritime training and deployment, DEVGRU is more well adapted to waterborne ops. Both are highly skilled and highly capable units.

  • U said it.

  • Yeah I heard that too that those SEAL operators were DEVGRU. And that´s true DEVGRU is like Deltas but Navy version.

  • Its too bad your democracy is pretty flawed.

  • All governments have their flaws, but ours just had an uptick with President Obama. We're confident things will get better, and we love America, but we aren't naive. You made an observant comment, if history is any example of the future. Thanks.

  • No that's not what i meant. I meant that your election process is way too mediaized. It seems your politicians can't do anything without being under microscope. In most democratic countries they don't even have debates.

  • True, we get your drift. We wish it wasn't a two party system and that money and media played a far smaller role, but it's hard to reverse this kind of momentum and intentional control by numerous groups that prosper from the organization of it all.

  • Point to a better democracy.

  • There isn't one! Well asked. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Canada.

  • Hmmm ...We love Canada, But ...We'll Go U.S.A.

Nice comment too. Canada is an excellent country, beautiful and well managed.

  • Meh, sometimes i think we elect some retarded monkeys.

  • Canada wishes.

  • Ok tell me why. Or do you even know what Canada's democracy is like.

  • You made the claim; you support it with evidence.

  • America the only country holding the world together.

  • Nice one!

  • A curious aside to all of this; being the Easter Holiday Weekend, most of the major news networks scrambled to find an experienced "newsreader" who had more than a superficial experience with maritime or military vocabulary and rules.

CNN came out ahead when they got Don Lemon on the air while Fox, MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CBS affiliates wallowed in newsreaders who couldn't cold-read properly on the beach in Maui.

It was pitiful, if you followed the coverage.

  • Interesting take. News has a habit of being uninformed when it comes to the details. Their experts consist largely of general observers, not authorities on surgically specific details. They're a bit slow, one might say.

  • Ive always admired the navy seals, but after this happen i was amazed, their combat prowess and secrecy is awesome. That was routine for them the seal snipers spends months training for this. Max respect and honor to those seals whoever they are, they are the sole reason not to be a pirate or terrorist. they perform many operations like this we just dont hear about them because they are highly classified.

  • Correct. If you knew any more, you'd be attracting worms right now.

  • The Seals took care of business :)

McCainisThrough, are you apart of the navy seals??? Im somewhat interested in learning about the navy seals and the benefits and what not. Im physically fit and mentally really tough. Any info on the seals would be great.

  • Sent you a message, hope it's helpful.

  • Swim, run, lift weights; repeat ad nauseum.

    See your recruiter.

  • Funny, and true.

  • go ahead and try to fuck with America, people should learn from these peoples MISTAKE,you fuck with us,you may just get capped like these 3 faggots did.MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT to our United States Military!!!

  • I wonder if Osama had a similar rant on 9/11 ?

  • Ouch! Thanks for watching. That's a bright and scathing comment.

  • Yeah. if i was a bitch ass somalian savage i would take my band of merry pirates and attack an american ship. because America won't do anything...Navy Seals aren't real...they are monsters that are only in movies right?

  • Right, we only deploy for Hollywood.

  • thats what i thought.. i just wanted to make sure, before i did anything stupid...like say attack an AMERICAN FUCKING SHIP

  • Great comments! Funny too! Be well Bud!

  • WRONG! You obviously have NEVER been in Our Military or you would already know that the Stadning Order was Issued by Our President Barack Obama. In fact, it is required BY LAW in this instance. The orders to use Lethal Force were issued by Obama on Friday morning and then again on Sunday, moments before the 3 simultaneous shots were fired.

Since it was a hostage situation, and not a military action, the ONLY PERSON who can authorize Use of Lethal Force, is Our President.

    Look it up moron!

  • SputnikMedia:

    Read this dipshit!

"Obama's involvement in the decision to authorize lethal force was legally required, officials said, because it was a hostage situation, not combat, and unrelated to the already authorized U.S. effort against Al Qaeda and other terror groups, officials said."

You ain't Military, so keep your mouth shut!

  • my bro is in the navy, and he told me boot camp to be a regular sailor is a bitch, and he said seals train uncomparably alot harder than any other military people, therefore seals are some tough mother fuckers, MY RESPECT

  • bradcalix:

Tell your Brother Hooyah from us! He is also correct. SEALs train harder than most units on the face of the planet.

  • further proof you dont fuck with america

  • You said a mouthful!

  • fucking straight

  • congrats to the seals

  • Thanks!

  • god bless the Navy Seals for what they did for saving the captain, when i heard about it i thought they were Marine snipers. Anyways awesome job and cant wait to be a part of it as becoming a US Marine Officer too motivated for failure SEMPER FI

  • Also the SEALs are the ones who really made the judgment that the captain was in danger and took the action. My sources are one of the news casts I forget which one lol. Probably CNN again.

  • Again, SEALs undergo years of arduous training in many disciplines. The SEALs chosen for this op were very well seasoned. They didn't plunk 3 FNG's into the drink and hope that they executed properly. These were the best of the best of the best of the best, period. President Barack Obama has no experience with these matters, yet he was clear about the Standing Orders he issued. And if it went bad, all you would have heard is Obama this, Obama that. Barack did great under the circumstances.

  • Well said. It's true about what would have happened too Obama critic wise if things went wrong. And yeah SEALs kicked ass. The odds were well with them.

  • Navy SEAL's have most credit on my book. Halo jump into water on to warship unseen 3 shots 3 kills and 1 out of 1 saved hostages. Other credit would be given to Obama for part of the go ahead. and A lot of credit to the captain for making that deal to free all the others.

  • You are correct. However, the SEALs went through many years of training and are well seasoned Team members to have been selected for this specific op, and Obama was brand new at the role of Commander in Chief, and the critics kept calling him soft and weak. Obama deserves credit for acting in a proficient manner, without any previous experience under his belt. Both Captains deserve credit as well, the Somali pirate hostage and Commander of the Bainbridge.

    Outstanding all the way around!

  • Either way it was an all out good move on the part of our nation and military. They are nervous, that's why they are making so many threats. Our Navy hasn't been used very much lately (not including spec war), due to the war being fought in land locked cities. These guys may just "wake a sleeping giant". I'm in the Navy, trust me shit like this makes us remember why we do what we do.

  • True! And since the conflicts of the future are going to include more engagements like these, President Barack Obama is directing more funding than ever before to Spec Ops and Small Unit Special Warfare. Obama knows just what he's doing, thankfully.

  • Navy SEALs deserve most of the credit for saving Capt. Phillips life. Obama made a decision, then the team leader made a decision but none of those decisions would have mattered if the SEALs missed the shot. They had the most pressure on them so they should get most of the credit.

  • Who takes the responsibility for not catching bin Laden then, bush or the military? You can't have your cake and eat it to. Our Commander in Chief did what he was required to do, act fast, decisively and professionally, and he deserves the credit for fulfilling his duties. On 911, bush was told "we're under attack," yet sat dazed and terrified for over 5 full minutes before being told "come through this door," by Secret Service. Obama acted, bush did not. Obama gets equal credit for acting.

  • *too

  • Can Obama get his props for making the call?

  • Obama is getting them from half the republicans, and all of the Democrats. Sooner or later the republicans will either give Obama the credit he deserves for acting responsibly, or they will cease to exist as a party. They have been shrinking in size since bush assumed power, and continue their crumbling now under Obama. We want to see one America. SEALs operate on Teamwork and Loyalty, not division and anti-patriotism.

  • I listened to a republican radio station this morning (as I do almost every morning), and the hosts twisted the shit around, saying that Obama was "giving himself too much credit". Un-freaking-believable. If Bush had given the order years ago, he would be praised by the same hosts.

We gotta give credit where credit is due. To the president for giving the order, and to the ULTRA KICKASS Navy SEALS for executing the order.

  • go SEALs! :)

  • im not fond of the US Military, but that rescue was cool

  • How is that for WEAKNESS???!!! The colors don't run even when the colored are running the country Well done gentlemen! You will get a medal from the president! Hey, we will talk to you, but if your stupid your dead !

  • SEAL new moto: "we will fuck you, your friend and your gay lover from 500 meters away, we are that awesome!"

  • @ frbe0101

in the cover of darkness too! GET SOME!

  • Very patriotic, however, the Teams are very professional and the issue is lives, not deaths. Every attempt is made at preserving all of the lives involved before a decision to take any is made. And the decision to take those lives is ultimately the Commander in Chief's responsibility. If it went bad, all blame would have been placed on Obama, not the military. The shooters did an OUTSTANDING job, no question, they pulled the triggers. The Bainbridge's (DDG 96) Captain also deserves credit .

  • Thats amazing 3 shots for 3 kills....Navy seals aren't no joke

  • Don't mess with U.S. sailors, especially SEALs.

  • Dont mess with the US Military, ESPECIALLY the US Navy SEAL Teams. SEAL snipers are considered the most highly trained snipers in the military. they dont play around. HOOYAH SEAL TEAM!!!!!

  • Indeed.

  • U.S. Military dont play around! we needed to be leaders and set an example that we cannot let these pirates run a muck.

  • No we don't. You don't mess with the U.S. Navy.

  • "we have target, we have target, we have target".........."execute"! text book to the fullest.

  • Our shooters don't miss, especially when lives are at stake. All three Team members were outstanding!

  • sound like it was a good old fashion movie rescue that took place there yesterday

  • Yeah, we kicked some butt!
