in 88 or so they released showtime. we went to see them open for depeche mode. they of course, destroyed the place. !! we were wearing our orange and black t-shirts every chance we got. GUNS CHURCH FIRE UUUUGH.!!!
PERFECTION, this is how i like my synthpop, to be heavy on synths, have new wave, postpunk, ebm influences in the tunes. The bubblegum synthpop of today is not as good as tunes like this
'86-'89, Thrash Thursdays @ Downstairs Club (Punks, Skins, Goth mix), Bamberg, FRG, padded walls, tiled floors, high mirrored ceilings, everything was bolted down & dimmed. When this tune played followed by the Sisters "Temple of Love", one dared to be in the pit (dance floor), fists, brass knuckles, razor/switch blades occasionally presented themselves, females were the bravest. My record, nose/jaw broken x7, cut x2, stabbed x1 & many a bruises ... LSD/hash did their thing, memories!
Fast beat the feet Fast beat the feet Fast fall the hands Fast fall the hands Meld in the music The music of drums Meld in the music The music of drums Choose the fast beat Choose the hard line Choose the fast beat Choose the hard line Try to show us one better Not sick to the heart Not calling with flesh Suffer little children*3 Written in pain Boys at one Girls at peace etc
and Bruce had a good run charging $300/record at Record Rack. the internet became widely used, and he closed shop. GEMM is a good place to look for rare vinyl and not spend stupid amounts of money
todays 12inches are most horrible dance/techno/dj mistakes, but 80' and early 90's 12inches were awesome mixes. especially the edit versions from depeche and fgth
@jensaushamburg I agree and afraid they wont come bacvk. Thankfully we all have what was THE sound of that era, synths............what happen to them?
suffer little children, suffer little children ..!
