Networks shouldn't be allowed to run a 24 hour news network till they can handle a one hour show i.e. one where freaks like this are never asked to be guests.
This man is a seriously deluded piece of shit. Sentient creatures aren't property, no matter what kind of claim you care to lay on them. Intelligence does play a factor in parsing a being's rights under the law, but the ability to feel, to suffer, even the capacity to simply draw a breath entitles living things to basic protection not only under the law, but the sanctity of life itself. Now, I use the term "sanctity of life" broadly, assuming most people recognize animals as fellow living beings
@Greenturtlmonstr He's a hundred percent right! Animals only have rights because man granted them rights. That being said, it is morally wrong to harm animals for no reason. However, he's right! Animals are either free in the wild or owned as property!
Animals may not have "rights", but that doesn't mean they aren't entitled to legal protection. Same thing with convicted felons. Just because they lost their civil rights, doesn't mean you can beat, rape, mutilate them, steal from them, and expect to get away with it. Hell, your HOUSE doesn't have "rights" either, but that doesn't mean someone can come along and burn it down without having to deal with the legal consequences of that action.
@mrbubetube I don't need to know him well and I don't care who he is. If anybody says something like what he said in this clip they are a piece of shit. He is no more of a "REAL" American than I am because I was born here too and defending cowards who abuse animals does not make you a real American either. As for respect, Adolf Hilter was respected by millions of people so does that automatically make him a good person too?

Jonathan Hoenig is absolutely right, animals do not have rights. This society puts a higher priority on prosecuting people who mistreat animals than it does on serving justice to the pedophiles who are roaming the streets.
Wrong. "Section 7(a)(2) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 divides responsibilities regarding the protection of endangered species...and requires each federal agency to consult with the relevant Secretary to ensure that any action funded by the agency is not likely to jeopardize the continued existence or habitat of any endangered or threatened species." SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES Syllabus LUJAN, SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR v. DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE et al.
Y'all are right this kind of shock journalism crap is Faux's motto. And this Hoenpig douche, I'd like to snap his little pencil neck and not shed a tear (in fact laugh for hours about it) this piece of crap is the go to conservative at any price extremist and proud of it shock jock asshole. God damn dude that african american lady was a bitch, meat is good and good for you people have been eating meat since the dawn of man she doesnt have the right to tell someone not to produce meat and its true animals don't have rights but were does it say that animals cant be killed for the production of food
FUCK THIS MOTHER FUCKER! Now that I have this out of my system: we are all animals and all of us have rights. Who's right is it to decide the fate of an innocent creature? This guy is an asshole and I hope he gets his head smashed against a wall, both because he deserves it and because it is a nice dark ironic twist.
What a piece of shit of a man. This garbage of a man who does not have a soul; perhaps when he dies and comes back as a dog someone will smash his head against a rock. Even though I say that I would not wish that on him even if he does come back as a dog or any other animal. Final point, "ANIMALS DO HAVE RIGHTS"
I'm by no means a vegan hippie guy, I'll eat a good steak as soon as the next person, but this guy takes it too far. Do animals deserve the same rights as humans? of course not. Does that make it ok to just torture/kill them for the fun of it? No.
I'm amazed at the ability of certain people to ignore all facts and just say whatever the hell they want. The guy here was a delusional sociopath who seemed to be in total disbelief that there are in fact animal cruelty laws. Also, abuse of animals is indeed a marker of serial killers. In other words, its ok 2 have differences of opinion, but there isn't two sides to every issue. The guy here was 100% incorrect both morally and factually and should not have been given any airtime.
Anyone who agrees to go on these cable debates has to take their side over the edge, or else they get run over. She was for animal rights, he was against them. Regardless of whatever psychotic thing he says, this is what he believes.
where are all the heroes that get rid of these trashbags of society. instead of that news girl in the movie 'W' getting killed, why does jonathan hoenig live a peaceful life. why can't we hear a news story of him being beaten to death?? he represents everything bad about capitalism.
A child or a mentally disabled person cannot file a lawsuit yet we prosecute on their behalf. The capacity to file a lawsuit is a stupid argument. This man cannot acknowledge that real and needless suffering can exist beyond the human form.
Now that time someone on Fox news really was a psychopath.
Fuck that bastard for suggesting that he can smash a dog's head in if he wants to. I am sure the dog would bite his head off if it wanted too as well but it doesn't because domesticated animals will love you no mater what you do to them and if someone abuses them and takes advantage of that fact then they are an evil bastard.
Animals do not directly have rights but we as humans cannot abuse them for any reason what so ever. we dont have that right. domestic animals are as defenseless as toddlers so its extremely unfair. you have to be a piece of shit to harm a defenseless animal or a child in any way. as for this guy if i saw him on the streets i would chike him until he stopped breathing and not let go for 5 minutes to make sure he was dead. he's an adult so i wouldnt feel bad at all.

The flippant manner that he described man's best friend with is disconcerting.
And there are laws (in America) regulating what can and can't be done to an Animal dating back to at least the 1870's.
grazon 3 years ago
Flippant, perhaps, but we must ask why. I believe it's simply because he's defending a fact. It's not because he thinks animal abuse isn't a serious issue.
And yes there are animal cruelty laws, but they are often only secondary to the "animals are treated as property" laws. I admit that emotionally this feels wrong, but rationally it seems valid in our current human-centric society.
