I don't know what love is yet.. but all i know is that when i listen to The Cure and watch the stars and the moon it's what i think true love really is <3
I saw them live at Red Rocks Ampitheater in Colorado when I was about 16, one of the best nights of my life and I will remember it always.
They did 3 encores, there was a lightning storm going on in the east that the entire audience could see, during which they played "HOT HOT HOT!!!", the energy was amazing, it was fantastic, they're fantastic. (:
i've been listening to these guys since 2005 and i know that's for 5 years, but every time i listen to them it's like the first time. i think they did an awesome job on this album. you definitely sense emotion in the songs.
I agree with you but they really let it down in the sound quality department. If the mastering engineer left some room for the instruments to breathe instead of going crazy on the compression, I'd be listening to 4:13 Dream a LOT more than I have. If you want, google "The Loudness Wars" to learn about the poor sound quality of today's music. I must say they did a really good job on the Disintegration remaster, though.
@truefaith00 Actually I hadn't got around to it til now so I reckoned all that crap about the compression was rubbish because I've really enjoyed the self-titled album. Clearly tho it's insane, I can barely hear anything of what is probably a very good song.
Though I'm not a big fan of their new records, I find that this song is very good. It remembers me of 'Jupiter Crash' from WMS, another fantastic song. :)
An artist must know when to stop and The Cure should´ve stopped in 1993 after the Wish Tour.
1996´s Wild Mood Swing was the most disappointing album of the year. The record was full of shit except for Jupiter Crash.
Then Bloodflower came but it was clearly an stupid effort to get back to roots but failed: the magic escaped when Porl Thompson and Boris Williams departed in 1993. Perry Bamonte was average and Jason Cooper a bad drummer.

She sang... she sang... she sang...
“Tell me you love me
And beg me to stay”
She sang
“Tell me you love me
Before it’s too late”
She sang
“Give me your life
Or I must fly away
And you will never hear this song again”
