(Continued from my last comment) Torrent sites are just like that, just on a much larger scale. Another thing, if I feel that what I pirated is worth my money I will go out and buy it, in fact the whole reason I pirate is because I hate paying for shitty software, movies, etc. and most people will. If I didn't pirate I wouldn't even know about half of the bands that I do and bought albums of and seen live so technically they've made some money off my ass because of piracy.
There's a thing that most people who are against piracy don't understand piracy isn't stealing because the companies who make the product aren't losing money, they're just not getting any. If the person who pirated it wasn't going to buy it anyway, they wouldn't have make money off of him even if he didn't pirate it. And if I invite a friend over to my house and we both watch (Or I lend him) a movie that I bought isn't that technically piracy since he didn't buy it.
Aww man, now I feel all bad for saying it like that :~( It's just that all this corporate moneymongering makes me really annoyed, specially when they manage to convert a human being to actually believe they have the moral high ground... just think of, say, Homer (not mr Simpson). If torrent sites and similar "evil piracy networks" had been available back in his day, it's pretty obvious that he'd have PAID to get his work spread, don't you think?
LOL, it's all good. This was a project we did for school. None of us have film editing skills nor were we sure what to exactly do. We just wanted to create a unique Spot that would catch peoples attention and create some controversy.
I like the technical side of your little video, it's pretty good for amateur stuff (although the mask was perhaps overkill)! Just that the message... yeah :/
The more creativity costs (per recipient), the less it's worth. This video is basically free ... hmm. In a "Reefer Madness" (1936) sort of way I like it. The more I watch it the more hilarious it becomes ...
HAHAHAHA, you ever stop to think people have real jobs? Sorry I picked a real career and have to work, without making cheap ass videos for the world to see (like you). Go eat some shit for breakfast and hump your friends the MPAA and RIAA... Thanks for the laughs you two bit idiots...
What would your "real" Job be? Sorry, I'm currently in college furthering my education as so I can someday be your boss. You don't even know me, yet your making assumptions, sit back and think before you write. lets go back to 1ST grade here.
we didnt use any pirated materials and it is legal to use the music beacuse we are using for educational perposes so check shit out before you say some thing stupid
it is perfectly legal to use anything you want for educational purposes in a EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONEMENt. As soon as this was uploaded to YouTube your broke the Fair Use act. Hypocrites.
Creativity has value ONLY to the extent to which it is spread. There is nothing wrong with making money from creativity, BUT don't expect to retire based on a few hundred hours of productivity or, worse, don't expect to make money from the very act of limiting the benefits of some otherwise useful peace of creative production.
What the hell is going on here? They expect to be taken seriously with this remarkably awful piece propaganda? Or do they intend it as a demonstration that creativity has already been "stolen", since they can't create anything coherent?
The once thing anti-piracy PSas always fail is that they rely on unrealistic situations, incredible logical fallacies, and outside-common-sense arguments to make the point.
I hope this didn't come out of a film school. The font style is constantly mismatched and the cuts do not correlate. Where did the evil grandma come from? and who is the guy with the gun near the end? This PSA makes me want to vomit all over my keyboard, this PSA is as bad as the message it tries to convey... Garbage.
wheres a good site to pirate this from?

So, the basic message is that if you pirate a movie online, the MPAA will break into your house wearing Halloween masks and brutally murder you?
Toxicity777 4 years ago
Possibly understand that art and/or creativity is much more then what appears on the surface.

no one creates anything.. it is just an illusion. No thoughts are unique because there is no free-will therefore no isolated individual.
