was a great documentary full of hope that for some was a new life, for others was just a dream. Zana did what she could to help them, in the end i'm sure none of us can understand well her battle too. she was there, seeing things, feeling desperation was there while trying to help and sometimes the doors closed in her face.those kids were also her kids. the ones didn't made must be had difficult for her. where those kids are, we all just hope that they in some way are good. save 1 life is enough
We need to have more people like Zana in this world, this documentary was very heart warming and good for all of us to see that kids have to grow up in these type of environments. I also found it amazing how intelligent and mature these kids are, it really puts shame to many of the spoiled and snotty kids here in the u.s.
Great job. While luking this documentry my eyes are full of tears and i have seen the major problems is lack of continuation in the school and those stupid parents didnot allow their children to be in school. Hats off your work:)
Avijit ended up going to NYU! I'm so happy for him. You can Google his name and there's some articles and interviews he's done years after this, and even his Facebook.
I love this documentary. Its a whole new world, Avijt is a bright young boy and I want him to live on...
though I really LoveZana and her works , the ending....i felt was kinda like wasted effort cause they ran away from school and some of their parents can be sooooooo stuborn. :/
well.the first form of human defense is denial.not surprising then, that the society labels these women as fallen and children as outcastes.seriously needed, women of grit and gumption like ZANA BRISKI who actually make a change rather than waiting for government rehabilitation or simply giving out pious platitudes.great work zana ..................
