  • Like the video, I can appreciate others like myself that keep these vintage pieces going :-)

  • There may be an issue with the transformer!

  • @raymondleeleggs Do tell ...Thanks for the comment any suggestions for modding this unit ?

  • @Psqwall The best way to get better sound is a decent pair of well made Efficient bookshelf speakers (at least 90DB) Modding probably wont help but upgrading the speaker terminals to binding posts or clips...

  • @raymondleeleggs My man the speakers are fine ! No hum on the PS1 when I am playing CD's Plus they are not Design Acoustic speakers out of the box I put new woofers in both and trust me they sound great. Thanks for the thoughts though I am pretty sure Maxx is correct in telling me to change the main filter caps

  • @raymondleeleggs and PS the speakers are posts that are gold and screw in very snug

  • @raymondleeleggs Oh you are talking about the terminals on this unit Ahhh well you see I am not using this unit with speakers. I am using this like a turntable I can just go out from the Phono out underneath the platter right into the phono in on my marantz but that would only be good for the phono. I want to go from speaker out to the tape in on the Marantz 1030 amp I have to use the rest of the components on this unit so that is why I want the speaker to line attenuator
