( havent checked his in a while so i may be a few yards off.) it matters how many carries you get more than games played. ingram averaged 6.1 yds per carry dixon 5.4. ingram had the better year. he also had over 330 yds receiving and 3 tds. if ingram didnt deserve the heisman. dixon sure as hell didnt,

It's not surprising Ingram had 266 more yards than Ingram; He played in 3 more games than Dixon did. That's why the SEC, ESPN, and the NCAA define "Leading Rusher" as the one who has the most yards per game. I'm not disputing the total number, it's just that it's irrelevant at the end of the season when defining the Leading Rusher. Also, if you watch both rushers throughout the season, Dixon shines far more than Ingram.

Just as Ingram had better games than Dixon in the FL,LSU, State/Bama games, Dixon had better games in the Kentucky, Arkansas, and Auburn games. So, your argument here is invalid. Also, the "non-competition" argument is invalid, because Mississippi State had the consensus number one hardest schedule in the nation. My Dixon "shines" point was less statistical and more visual- he was more physically dominant against his competition all year long.

@msuwolfe against kentucky ingram still had a very good game. against arkansas it was trent who had more carries. auburn was the only real bad game ingram did have. physical dominance? the only thing that makes since here is that he weighs more and is taller. ingram broke more tackels and had more yards after contact. ingram is a more complete back he is faster and does more total player things around the field than dixon. ingram had better games against BETTER teams. something dixon could not.

@msuwolfe also by non competition i ment against the cupcakes of your schedule is where he had the hundred yard games. ingram did have a hundred yard game against chattanooga but he was pulled in the 1st quarter. against your top 2 defenses you played ( florida and alabama) dixon had 53 and 81 yds rushing gathering a 3.5 yd per carry and 3.7. he didnt really excell against the best defenses he played. he also scored no tds. ( note dixon was coming off a career game and still only got 81 yds
