  • sounds a bit like Leonard Cohen

  • does anyone know how i can get this song?? i looove it

  • idk if its cause of what the movie is about, but this song is completely eerie...like if i heard this jus start playin in a dark room, I'd be horrified...the symbolism of this song is sooo crazy and nicely laid.."Momma gone, and Daddy gone, o we miss our little baby/ When you wake, we will have cake and all the pretty little horses/"...its so eerie cause it sounds like it's talkin about death (in my opinion)...a cart with 6 white horses (pallbearers?)..go to sleep to leave behind the misery?

  • Hey, at least you get to eat the Cake.

    *yummy*

  • The cake is a lie....(LOL Portal FTW!!!!!)

  • @XxSargeantTibbz117xX

No. The cake isn't a lie...

    TEDDY IS A LIE!!!

*Nazi Zombies Der Reise reference* ;p

  • @WhizzleRockFM

    same here! crazy movie!

  • @WhizzleRockFM

The song is an old slave song...picture a black nanny taking care of a white baby. Her baby is left (Mama gone, Daddy gone...flies plucking at its eyes etc) and the baby she's singing to sleep will have cake and pretty horses when it wakes up, unlike the slave baby.

  • i think the best way to describe this song is (dark blues) is such a creepy undertone especially for a lullybye. and it's really bluesy. love the song
