Vissually it is kind of cool, but the biggest problem is that none of these things on the screen actually have a purpose. Check out the special features of the Ironman 2 DVD, where the guys from the Orphanage explain the design process behind Javis's HUD. You'll see what I mean, each and every widget and button DOES something or accomplishes some task. That's what really makes it real! (and the compositing of course)

possible...problem is those type of displays have a high price range...once touch screens become more inexpensive i'll be counting on any linux config [fedora/ubuntu/etc] to start coding something alike.

cant wait to have a window like that in my house...maybe all the controls would be in the bathroom mirror...that way i could control a music play list located in a home server right from the shower instead of using something like the kohler controller.
