@stargirlsusan You are supposed to call the police - the real police, 911- and tell them what's going on. A police officer would never recruit a civilian like that. Think about it from their point of view: if they were encouraging the public to believe anyone walking up to them with a badge to do anything they asked, they would be helping criminals immensely (that's just one reason they wouldn't do it.) As for bounty hunters, you have no more reason to believe or help them than anyone else.

This is more scary because it shows how vulnerable people are. They believe anything from a so-called agent! First off, a recovery agent NEVER solicits help from the general populace! If a REAL recovery agent needs help they would go to local law enforcement. I remember a so called police officer trying to stop me. I had that gut feeling that it was not. I did not stop and called 911. The police told me where to drive towards the nearest cruiser. They apprehended him! That scared me.
