  • @tvdude29 Nostrand - Ratatat (You can find this information under I like / I don't like)

  • @juve0614 My first name is Nolan. Thanks bud.

  • I realized that Christopher Nolan must be good friends with Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Cillian Murphy, because they've been in a couple of his movies.

  • TADA! IT'S GONE!

  • GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT!

  • It's really amazing !

  • "i'd hate to see out of control" *cuts to joker with his head out of a cop car* lmao brilliant man

  • Amazing. Rewatched it and it was great!

  • I understand leaving out Insomnia because it's the least Nolan, but Following? Why wasn't it shown?

  • Comment removed

  • Ah, I love Christopher Nolan. The lead actors of all his movies that I've seen draw you right into the story, carrying you all the way until the end. Then you're asked "Are you watching closely?" because at the end, you're always in for a surprise - I think it's only the Batman movies that don't twist your mind around and leave you guessing, but I could be wrong since I've never seen Insomnia or Following.

Nolan, I adore your work. I'm a huge fan. Never stop doing what you do.

  • @007iloveJesus the dead girl from Insomnia

  • @007iloveJesus Don't forget Kay Connell

  • The secret is..........Are you, are you, are you watching closely?

  • @007iloveJesus Please tell me you don't think he is a mysoginist as some people have suggested. Yes, this aspect is in Nolan's movies, but it is actually because he fears losing his wife (or at least I have heard that he admitted to it).

  • THIS VIDEO KICKS ASS MAN

  • Are you watching closely?

  • Love this video! Awesome editing!

Nolan is/will always be my favourite director. His films are interesting, beautiful and entertaining to watch. He's the only director whose work has left me speechless/blown away everytime I see them. Never get bored of watching Nolan's films. Can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises!!!

  • The 8 idiots that disliked this vid clearly don't know the artistry of editing! Something that Christopher Nolan has said to be a great element in film making, calling it "mysterious" I must say the more I was this the more I see that you have exceptional editing skills @djcprod

  • @Faith14Hijazi Watch*

  • @juve0614

    THIS deserves an academy award!

  • Interesting!!!

  • Noone was able to astonish me that much like Nolan did several times. First with Prestige, than with Memento, and finally with Inception. Can't wait to see his coming up masterpieces

  • holy cow. The more I watch this, the more I appreciate Nolan's films as art... ALL of them.

  • Your waiting for an Oscar, an Oscar from a bunch of pretentious twats you might get nominated but you can't know for sure, but it doesn't matter because you made the greatest superhero film of all time and the best film of 2010!!!!!!!

  • @Syncopy528491 SO SO TRUE!

  • I love this video so much...

  • To go nuts!!!

    I adore Nolan

    Super video

    I'm Admirer from Russia

  • that was fucking AWESOME

  • You just made Chris. Nolan and His fans goddamn PROUD!!!

  • This is so amazing, maybe you should work with Mr.Nolan.

  • u r such a good editor buddy

  • Why the fuck is Rebecca's Friday song in the suggestions!

  • "What was the last thing, that you do remember?"

    "My wife... dying."

I love how Nolan links themes throughout his films, and 1:02 captures this brilliantly.

Great video, great song. I especially appreciate that you've used Ratatat :D

  • Are you watching closely?

  • This is simply amazing. Nolan is one of the best directors/storytellers. Awesome video.

  • Absolutely brilliant tribute video. As with most of the commenters here, Nolan is my idol and favorite filmmaker of all time. Thanks so much for doing this, and superb editing. Bravo!

  • Wow, nice work, great tribute to the greatest Filmmaker ever, he's also my favorite Filmmaker, and its always wonderful to see videos like this, great montage !!!!!

  • This is fucking Orgasmic!!

I am truly grateful for what you have managed to do, for the tribute.

    Seriously, thanks, dude ;)

  • Brilliant!

  • fuckin sick vid

  • william. william. william watching secrets

  • As a Nolan fan, it's my obligation to favorite and sub.

  • excellent

  • Nice tribute! Nolan is king :)

  • For those who want to know the song it is Nostrand by Ratatat

  • You should add Following to this. I am not sure about Insomnia, since I have never seen it. Still, one of the best videos ever.

  • You should add Following to this. Insomnia-I am not sure, I have never seen it. Awesome video.

  • its wonderfool, безмерный респект Нолану

  • its wonderfool безмерный респект Нолану

  • its wonderfool

  • Very good man

  • just saw this video 15 times

  • GENIUS. so many crazy scenes and only the best actors...

  • I absolutely adore this video. it sums up Nolan's brilliance perfectly and is soooo nicely edited. respect!

  • Nice Video!

  • What film was the guy from at 1.07/08?? Wearing the white balaclava?

  • @karl784585 Memento

  • @karl784585 At 1.07/1.08 it is a TDK scene, but I don't think that is the scene that you are referring to. The scene you are referring to probably comes from Memento.

  • awesome!

  • i believe that wll of Nolan's films diserve an academy for, best picture; F^&k the Academy.

  • THANK YOU for keeping the mess that is Katie Holmes out of this video. Also. I <3 Arthur.

  • Nostrad from Ratatat is easily one of the best songs ever made. I could so imagine it in a movie.

  • i watch this again and again and again and again. ....is a MASTERPIECE. :D i am your declared fan :D good job, all the respect.

  • one word - AWESOMENESS!

  • Нолан красавец!!! У него отличные фильмы. Его последнюю работу "Начало" я порекомендовал у себя на сайте "Посоветуйте фильм"

  • Excellent! Fantastic! Loved it! If you still haven't gotten around to watching "Following," definitely do it, it's an excellent flick.

  • I've got to say I'm not the biggest Christopher Nolan fan in the universe, but the editing and audio/video mastery I see at work here is absolutely flawless. Truly beautiful work.

  • That was really good and I actually loved the fast pace near the end. Good job.

  • This is the best montage ever! Great job in depicting Christopher Nolan's Works!

  • Who the hell would dislike this?

  • Hey, awesome video. The audio and visuals sync beautifully. Superb editing!!!

  • epiic love the ratatat

  • I wish it had clips from Following and Insomnia, nonetheless, this is awesome stuff. Great job uploader.

  • Great job! Just wish there was a little more of Insomnia in it!

  • what's the song in the video?

    good job

  • Truly amazing. It's largely your skill at editing that make the video, but the power of the imagery combined with the excellent song, they match so well. Well done!

  • I meant "HE would make my life look" :)

  • If there's a film made about my life, I'd like to have Christopher Nolan making it. It would even make my life look exciting/interesting. All-time favourite director!

  • are you watching closely?

  • are you watching closely?

  • Cool video!

But i only don't know what is he saying? "Are you watching p..." What is that 'p' word? Please, answer me.

  • @FreakyStyleytobby What? He saying "are you watching closely?"

  • You should do a Joker tribute...just saying...because this was the most amazing video evahr.

  • omg this is really gooood !! :o

  • AMAZING job!! This is awesome and shows off your skills as well as Nolan's. :D

  • Following is missing, but still it´s cool.

  • I wonder why Nolan never won an Oscar.

  • OH GOOD FOR YOU!

  • @007iloveJesus He couldn't pull off the prestige though. The last part of the trick is making the thing appear again.

  • @ginnoveffect Haha, sure he would. He'd yank it out, hold the bloody thing out and ask, "anyone want a pencil?"

  • great job.

  • love this so much)

  • Everything fits so perfect here. The tempo raises little by little and sametime the video clips action raises more.

This is just beautiful. Do more of these. :)

  • MUSIC !!!! THIS IS IT!!!!

  • Stupid music, good video though just makes me wanna see the dark knight rises now

  • so, I just watched this about 8 times back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back.

    epic

  • Amazing.

  • Favorited! and I don't favorite just anything.

  • This video should have way more views than now

  • Brilliant! I love the depth of interpretations the audio and visuals speak of the video to the director himself, the movie messages crossing over and as quotes in themselves. Again I say, brilliant!

  • That was amazing

  • Very good video!

  • Brilliant! Both Nolan and this vid ^_^

  • The mix of images is perfect, but the song is not appropriate.

  • nice vidz

  • I am in love with this video. Instant jizzing occurred.

  • Ever since Memento came out in 2001, I immediately decided that Christopher Nolan is my favorite director.

  • Awesome

i don't think people give Nolan enough credit

the guy is a genius but every year the academy and critics just rip him off

  • @InsomniacE3L Well... at least 492 people disagree.

If you don't like it. Don't watch.

  • @grable42 Haha... Thanks for lookin out Lauren! but there's always gonna be haters. I don't think some people grasp the concept of a fan just making a video for fun.lol

  • @djcprod haha... looks like the comment is gone anyways... lol

This vid is just too good to criticize... It made me mad. haha!

  • Magic music.

  • Sweeeeet editing, fantastic. MP3 of it?

  • this is awesome!, there is one movie i havent seen yet (form this video), and something tells me i MUST see it :D

  • damn i didn't know he directed Memento too! siiiiiiick

  • He is so baddass he doesn't need an oscar nomination.

  • Ratatat is awesome

  • You should really check out keesvdijkhuizen with his tributes (the films of). I think you will appreciate them.

  • well done

  • wat is said at this point 01:12 - 01:13...

video is amazing, fantastic work......following is a hard movie to get,so is okay that it isnt included here....

  • @NGEORGEJACOB Kim Watanabe saying:What do you fear?

  • Like this if you think Nolan is long overdue an oscar award.

  • Insomnia is included - 0.12 - 0.14

  • The music is Ratatat - Nostrand

  • @simsim49000 Thanks so much , i just discover this amazing band !

  • whats the background music ? awesome vid man

  • What's name of the song?

  • This is just the beginning, thanks for the beautiful video

  • I feel like I've watched this about 10000 times, Dennis lol

  • My only problem with this is that two of his films aren't here, Following and Insomnia. Other than that it is truly a great tribute to one of the best directors out there right now.

  • Fucking truth. Fucking justice. Fucking epic.

  • who fucking disliked this??

  • I'm glad the Joker's magic trick made it into the video. :D

  • This is pretty rad. Nice use of the ol' Ratatat too:)

  • wanna fuck with that

  • are you watching closely?

  • I love ratatat

  • This is why he should have got the best oscar director, all these films are amazing and will be talked about in year to come

  • Awesome video. Thanks for sharing it with everyone.

  • Wow! And I mean Wow!!!!!!

If I had to slightly nitpick, I would've liked the Close-up of all his protagonists' hands from "Following","Memento","Insomnia" and "Prestige" that form the opening sequences of the respective movies. Another would be the scene where Al Pacino is struggling for dear life underwater in "insomnia" alongwith the other water sequences depicted here!!!

    But still WOW!!!!!

  • Fuck the oscars.

  • dude, this deserves to have wayy more than a thousand views. nice work.

  • Damn that was awesome. Excellent work.

  • Awesome work on this tribute to one of my favorite directors working today! It's great to see that you let the song just breathe and really play out to its full effect.

  • This is fucking incredible. It's so rare to see such wonderful editing that doesn't resort to cross-fading every single frame. And to dedicate it to such a perfect person as Nolan -- I adore everything about this. Fantastic work.

    Can I request an MP3?

  • ratatat!

  • DJCPRO

You need to watch The Following, it is arguably Nolan's best film and shaped his style as a filmmaker

  • @jstall I dunno if I'd suggest it as his 'best' film or anything... several of his other films put it to shame, really, but as a debut film it's one of the best you'll ever see. I missed it in the video, tho, as you did. It's a damn shame it's not as well known. I heard IFC was going to rerelease it to theaters.

  • @SquigglyP I don't know if you can say "put it to shame," you have to take into account its small budget. The reason his kairos plot structure formulated the thematic vision for his films, had a lot to do with the fact that he could only afford to shoot the first half of the movie. Of course fifty percent of the film was still missing, so Nolan realized by filling in the gaps to his own film, years later, he had developed his visual style and that's awesome to hear IFC plans to release that film

  • best director or bestest director?
