My Nokia 3720 was runned ower by a car when I lost it when I was drunk. I found it on a snowy road 2 days later, but then it was not working. The display was smashed so I think it was runned ower by a car. Maybe several cars. It was NOT working. So I had to buy a new one. But it is a very good phone. I have accidently dropped my new one in the floor many times and it's working.

Haha! about an half year ago My 3720 gotted in to a washing machine. It was in my jeans pocket, and i didnt know that. After the wash, the screen was had alot water inside it, so it looked like an aquarium XD. But after a couple of hour, it worked perfectly. I still have the same phone. (sorry for my bad english)

@jdcoolsville In the summer on 2 different days, i found 2 phones locally in the middle of the road (I was out on my bike both times). Luckily enough they hadn`t been run over and after looking through the numbers list and ringing their home i was able to return them both to their owners .If they had been run over then i`m sure they would have been broken.Mind you, one of them had fallen out of a moving cars window so it did pretty good surviving that.

got been on my swimming short's while im swimming x 1

and now it haves like 2 cracks in the back cover, the plastic shielding the screen haves very many scrapes and almost 5 holes.

It works goodly.

This is a rly good phone :)! Way better then my old samsung b2100 that is way too slow compared too this=) Soon i have had the phone for 1month soon, no problem so long=)

Well, we did the sand test, because the IP54 standard includes dust protection, so we though the sand was a good option. As you can see we stepped quite hard on the phone a few seconds after it hit the ground to spice up the video a bit. As for your question, yeah, almost every phone will survive sand, but will it have dust inside? Probably yes.
