  • Bravo, Bravo, and thank you MGM for making theses wonderful movies bring great art to all.

  • es simplemente hermosisimo........

  • One of the few tenors to hit the high C in this duet. Even the great Tucker never did...

  • Imádom Mario lanzát.

  • susypizza: YOU ARE NUTS..........her singing was absolutely beautiful and complimented Lanza very, very well....you must be one of those old frustrated sopranos who could not even sing in the shower to sound good let alone anywhere else.....

  • the soprano is horrendous

  • @susypizza NOT certain what you mean or why you say that about Kathryn Grayson... she had a truly beautiful voice. without saying Mario Lanza is great. They compliment each other. Listen again without being baise...

  • The film is The Toast of New Orleans

  • This was the best part of "The Toast Of New Orleans". The only part I didn't like was the mugging of David Niven.

It's Simply IMPRESSIVE ! When i hear some snobish looking down to Mario Lanza who has been admired by the Maestro Pavarotti himself foe his incredible voice and talent !

  • without a doubt the best love duet

  • whats her name?

  • @onotuoedaul kathryn grayson

  • @onotuoedaul Her name is Kathryn Grayson, she had a splendid career in movies where she sing with that great voice of hers

    The film is Madam Butterfly

  • This is going to sound sacrilegious in view of her glorious career and recent passing. Her voice was lovely for American musical theater and operetta, but too thin for opera., esp. at the beginning of the araia. But he had the better training, and did appear on the operatic stage in 1948.

I know this piece well, and it made me cry. What film is it from?

  • Each time I watch this it brings tears of joy that something could be this magnificent!

  • Que gran interpretacion de Mario Lanza ese flaseo ,ese dominio de escena

  • words cant describe how beautifull this performance is RIP both of them

  • AWESOME! And in this film the characters are in love in real life, and they quarrel. And it is so funny that she tries to flee from his embraces, while in fact they should embrace for the sake of dramatic action. And of course, the singing is MAGNIFICENT from both of them!

  • Thank you for posting this. I fell in love with Lanza watching this scene many, many years ago. Not as good an opera singer as Carlo bergonzi in my opinion but wow, did Lanza have the looks!

  • Rest in Peace Ms. Grayson.

  • What amazes me is the speed of this performance. It's simply electric! It does not get much better than this.

  • Siempre se me pone la piel de gallina cuando oigo esta fantástica voz. No logran emocionarme otras interpretaciones.

    Mario Lanza the great!!!!!!

  • thank you so much!!!! Love Mario!!! what a magnificent voice!

  • thank you jamm !

  • Mario for ever! I'vee listening a great number of this duet with great singers, but Mario is different, jsut great, he sings with passion, tenderness, all necessary emotions to make this duet jst great.

  • One of the most beautiful pieces of music sung by this duo

  • Still sounds fantastic like this, even though the role of Pikerton is meant to be a lyric tenor role...
