  • @IndigenousRecords Not sure of the spelling either. Witza niyo refers to a beginning, it is found in the original opening song the roadman sings to start the Teepee ceremony.From what I have been told from roadmen as well as a Huichol family that I have known for 20 years it stemmed directly from the old Huichol Peyote ceremony not NAC (as did all 4 songs the roadman sings to start each round in the Teepee). Those four songs have always been the same wherever I have gone from Mexico to Canada.

  • DUDE!!!!!! Everyone LOVES!!! this old recording.... BUT!!!!!! Some imagwes are not in sync. This wacipi dancer, doesnt fit well with peyote ceremony. BIG issue. Shoot I have it on myspfaceboook. I wonder how they noticed it. Please don't get offended with the truth just acept it. Thanx

  • Thanks spencethatman , this recording was done in 92-94 sometime, with a hand held recorder, we weren't that old then....lol, but I guess we are getting there now!

  • These were my songs as a little kid startin out. I still remember em. Singin em wit the old folks, when they were still around. These songs bring me back to them ol days. They have brought me many blessings. I dont hear the younger youth sing em as much anymore. Good hearin them again.
