  • The Royalty Southgate! Those were the days!

  • @JanRuddom

Just came across this, remember the all dayers, and trying to get back to St Albans

    at 1 in the morning

  • @mct5866 Remember a lot of things, but not St Albans... Royal Standard, Black Horse Rd, Royalty Southgate, Pembury Tavern Hackney, Pied Bull Angel Islington, Gray Hound Longbridge Rd, Caisters, Any of those ring a bell?

  • @JanRuddom I'm from St Albans but i used to go to the royalty and it was always a mission trying to get back, we had a rockin night at the ""horn of plenty"" in St Albans the Deltas played there all the time, used to go to dingwalls as well. Live in Australia now no rockin out here!!!!

  • I don't know the song, but it remind's me when I used to go to Rock & Roll clubs when I was 15

  • who else just pantomimed driving a car to this song?

  • @sebasisdabest

You just said a long unfamiliar word which after looking it up, doesn't even make sense in that sentence. Nice one :P

  • @Amivit is that so? because i've known that word for a very long time, and i'm pretty sure i'm capable of using it properly in a sentence, even if feeble-minded people such as yourself can't comprehend it.

Thanks for the compliment though! i, too, believe that was a nice one.

  • @sebasisdabest

Hah, nice one! Trying to mask your rage cause of your mistake. And now making even more fool of yourself saying you have been using the word incorrectly for a long time ^^. Oh and dont worry, your fail I can easily comprehend :D

  • @Amivit i see you like trolling on the innocent. good luck with that! let me know if any unsuspecting 15 year olds on 4chan actually fall for your amateur trickery.

  • @sebasisdabest

Nah I just like poking people down from their horses. But you gave up defending yourself, followed up by a change of subject. So I guess that means I can safely conclude I win?

  • @Amivit sure. keep telling yourself that.

  • @sebasisdabest I did ! Even fancied myself wearing a cowboy hat, driving on road 66... And by the way, pantomime does make sense in this sentence, but after all, I am French so what do I know eh? Gosh I hate people lecturing others about things they don't know.

  • Kill Bill!!!

  • God I'm dyin' for this song

  • seemed like country went two ways a while back, the southern rockabilly boys a.k.a. good country western musicians like charlie feathers went one way and the rest took all the worst aspects of some country songs and made country pop

  • makes me wish i was driving my chevy carpice on a hot day with the windows down on an open road...dry brown grass on both sides of the road :)

  • One of The greatest Rockabilly tunes ever! I really dig the way that the instruments sound like they're fixin' to fall apart about halfway through the recording.....Sounds like one of my sessions! HAHAHA!!!!!!!!

  • Charlie Feathers is my 4th cousin!!

    dj stompin steve worsfold.....

  • sacré rhytme,ou trouver le cd?

  • Sur le site crazy times music.

  • Merci pour votre réponse,c'est très sympa.

  • A Great rollin rock recording....

  • its too bad theres not anymore music like this today, there are a few similar sounding modern rockabilly groups but none of them have this sound down pat.

  • There are many Rockabilly groups around today that capture this sound quite well.

  • lol who

  • Dave- watch?v=khj_xDWAU7w

  • egh

  • highly original style of song for the time..5*****

  • Originally used in soundtrack context on 1980-ish porn flick Teenage Cruisers along with a few other Rollin Rock rockabilly toetappers - for the information of those looking for similar sounds. It's still widely available on CD.

    ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK - TEENAGE CRUISERS.

Bright pink sleeve - you can't miss it.

  • 1974

  • @L0wnyus more like Oklahoma or Kansas good song

  • @L0wnyus with sun glasses all over the dash

  • @skatepunkzero i would also spit out of the window right when i'm about to park the car.

  • @skatepunkzero

  • most people know what the "rock n roll" sounds is.

Rock n roll is dead in its truest form. You can say im wrong its cool and I dont mean as an insult. its over it evolved. Good tunes here.

  • Try HMV Music store .. search for the lables that the artist or group recorded on Thats how you discover these jems . eg.. MGM ROCKABILLYS ... STARDAY DIXE ROCKABILLYS... KING ROCKABILLYS .... SUN ROCKABILLYS ..SO ON AND SO ON.

  • Love Charlie Feathers, thanks to Quengtin Tarantino's Kill Bill I heard this song for the first the time and I immediately bought Charlies greatest hits!

Oh and Eightbanger you really wanna know why? Because we have one of the highest internet penetrations of the world!!

  • To all the A Holes out there who would'nt know a Rockin tune if it were to smack em in the nuts.......IT'S ROCKABILLY!!!!!!

  • Christ! who lets the Dutch comment on anything? let alone a Pissy Assed kid.

  • is this country?

  • It's Rockabilly.

  • Sorry buddy, but you are wrong. The song when Earl McGraw is driving out the the wedding chapel is in fact this song "That Certain Female". In Kill Bill 2 Tarantino uses another Charlie Feathers song "Can't Hardly Stand It". I know this post is over a month old, and you probably wont ever read this, but I wanted to clarify, just in case other people get confused. Sorry.

  • lol me to

  • this is gonna sound strange but someone name me some songs that sound like this, i love the big start then it slows down and then speeds up its amazing

  • I'll tell you what it sounds like: sex!

  • Nothing else really rocks as much as this song, but maybe you would like some of these (might require quite a bit of research): Walter Brown "Jelly Roll Rock", The Rumblers "Boss", The Busters "Bust Out", Ronnie Dawson "Runnin Wild", Keith Courvale "Trapped Love", Hayden Thompson "Blues Blues Blues", Larry Phillipson "Bitter Feelings", Junior Thompson "How Come You Do Me" and Dale Hawkins "Tornado". Basically anything that The Cramps covered, you can't go wrong. They know their shit...

  • Some jackass at work told me Charlie Feathers wasn't shit and couldn't be rockabilly because he had never heard of them. Lol but then went on to tell me he likes the Stray Cats. Yeah because they're authentic 50's billy right. Give me a break.

  • Me too! :D

I turned on my computer right after hearing it :P

  • FINE, GREAT and WONDERFUL !!!
