@Onizcc nope, it was first seen in the s class back in 1999 they call it 'distronic' ... and they further developed it in 2006 and called it "distronic plus" :)
does anyone know what the max automatic braking force is on the active cruise control system? like would it use 100% braking if need be? and also how slow will the car actually slow down? like would it come to a complete stop if need be?
What if a car suddenly gets in the way, does the driver have to keep watch continueously ie keep his foot on break or just leave it pretty much and let the ACC do it's thing ?
hey im back and fist up if u can afford it and you spend most of time driving then get it. acc does require you to keep watch on the road. if a car pull out a red warning light and a loud beep tells you to take over break. The breaks are pre pumped ready for you to take over the system at this point is turned off.
esay to use... very i love it carnt live with out it once u tried it your hooked. every car should have it. it works with clusters more cluster u have the further you are from the car in front less clusters the closer you are. fist day i tried it i was scaredddd my foot hoverd over the break but now sit back and let the car dive me home. Went on a driving trip to france omg the best drive everrrrrr
mercedes did this in 2002.

You need to add a speed limit database such as wikispeedia org
