@iMikeeyB yeah thats the kinda life i want, i live right near newcastle and im going to hike hadrians wall soon i hope, just need a tent and a rucksack and a few bits and bobs and ill be sorted
In Scotland you can camp pretty much anywhere in the wild you like so long as you are respectful of the land. You can light fires but must be careful in peaty areas and of course be sensible when it's been very dry. No probs building your own shelter too. Google "Scotland Outdoor Access Code" :)
Great example of escaping to the wilderness. I love canoeing/wildcamping (as featured on my channel) and now will consider mavericking to them there hills. Nice one.
i'm thinking of going in a couple of weeks time. Do you think the weather will be good at this time of year? rain, cold ?? how was the midge problem? black flies? Is it really remote? i don't want to bump into anyone
