  • I'am i right, it dont tell me how many feets before i make the turn.

can it be programed to have that feture?

  • @MEGABOINK65 just pick american english voice and it should do it in feet does for me:)

  • Thank you i will try.

  • can i find the nearest cocaine dealer on this??

  • I purchased this but it doesn't say the street names. It really made me upset. Other than that, he's right. I have 2 Garmin Nuvi units and they're generally great GPS units.

  • @andyrooney12 either english be it american or british should do the trick

  • @TRANSAM19777

Are you sure that you meant to respond to my comment? I don't see how your response is relevant to what I said. Just checking.

  • @andyrooney12 yes cause that way you'll get the street names to be said by the sat-nav

  • @TRANSAM19777

I already have the language set to American English because it is the only language that I could understand. I think it is just a technical malfunction. It used to speak but now there is no voice commands whatsoever. Speaking street names would have been nice but at the very least I wanted it to say turn right ahead or keep left. It did that for a while but now there is no voice commands coming out of the Nuvi anymore. Unfortunately their tech support is poor.

  • ble bla ble bla ble bla ble albbla bla bele lablbalbabalba.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • My dad had a Garmin, it's not any good. It had troubles finding sattelites all the time, even in the bigger cities. I'm going to keep using TomTom

  • The new interface or OS or GUI whatever u wanna call it has an arrow instead of the word "MENU". The new GUI has a zippier and faster response and the mapping frame rate has imrpoved it. You will not feel the lags with the newer Garmin.

  • Latin bridals here **busizz4me.info**

  • Where can I send my GARMIN GPS to get repaired? it fell off the table and crashed? is it possible to get it repaired?

  • This model has Garmin older OS which is sluggish menu navigation and choppy map frame rate.

  • @DJTEVAdotCOM Well what's a Garmin with a new OS. Name some

  • I'm in the market for a handheld, saw some good articles on gpssatnavreviews (.) com

  • i ordered the nuvi 265t (not wide screen) for 98 bucks plus tax so 109....and i think its a great buy...i havent received it yet...but its in the mail.

    actually its a bday present

  • @rctriplefresh5 i just got my 265 wide screen for $115 on Amazon, w/ a free case! u should return urs if possible =p if not, $98 is pretty good too!

  • I found this tutorial extremely helpful in determining which Garmin GPS system to buy as a gift. It is the most informative, and detailed on the web which I have seen so far! Thank you!

  • Lads, this is all great but has any of you here have the guts to actually know the truth about weather or not your spouse or lover is cheating? I had the guts I actually intercepted my wife's cell phone for over 2 months before I actually found out she was cheating, some people are just too good at hiding it.

I am using the cell phone interception software I suggest you search on google for hacks4.sale (remove dot between word) and you'll find the software.,it's great

  • TOM TOM suck,s

  • Comprase mejor un TomTom Mucho mejor para bajarse los mapas Gratis que el Garmin.

  • TomTom..Ok.OK.OK

  • Can someone please tell me if this gps can speak in russian?

  • @Dimitry1996 ya

  • Hey I just recently bought Garmin Nuvi 265W I was wondering if it the same thing as 265 WT or better? Cuz if it not I can go give it back and exchange it for 265 WT.

Anyway I have question everytime I open my Garmin Nuvi 265 W the menu always put default "United State" as location. I wanna changed it to Canada but I don't wanna keep changing it everytime I open my gps. Help?

And also when I set my bluetooth and then I close my gps I have to reset my bluetooth everytime. Help?

  • @Oo2k7 the T stands for anTena

after that its self explanitory :D

  • Can I get a download update to go around major crime areas of a city rather than through that city. Not a reroute through another major part of that city with crime.

  • I have a problem with mine. I have the Garmin Nuvi 265WT, but it is set to some other country and not North America. I have no idea how to reset the thing... It says on the manual to slide the power key and hold for 8 seconds. It doesn't work... Does anyone know how to fix it?

  • THANX

  • Garmin's are the best!!!!!!!!!

  • This unit rocks but the voice that gives directions is useless in my ride because i always have music on :)

  • Im gonna get one and i think i made a good choice...

  • Spot-on assessment- Have it- Love it, don't know what I'd do without it.

  • Great with subtitles in spanish!! gracias por el comentario ahora si me voy a comprar uno!! gracias por ponerlo en español!!

  • lol if its stolen its not hard to completely restore it

  • I am getting this because of the lifetime traffic alerts.. Better than paying for the service every year, being in the Delivery field, it is nice to know where the trouble spots are in the DALLAS / Fort Worth area..

  • Oh, I forgot to ask in my last comment box...at Wal Mart's website they say that you can get a lifetime of traffic updates with this model but this guy said absolutely NOTHING about it. Anyone know if that's a free feature or if it requires a contract with monthly payments? Thanks.

  • Yes. That's what the "T" in 265W(idescreen) T(raffic) stands for. It's free in exchange for some occasional and unobtrusive ads/coupons that pop up, usually when you're stopped in traffic.

  • When I was looking for a GPS unit this was one of the first places I came. I learned a lot more about these gadgets after doing some research. Personally, I think the Garmin Nuvi 780 is better than this model. They're pretty much the same but the 780 has a 4.3" screen instead of 3.5".

  • The Garmin nuvi 265WT also has a 4.3" screen. You're confusing it with the Garmin nuvi 265 which has the standard 3.5" screen. Recommend checking out GPS Magazine (dot) com for reviews, rankings and Buyer's Guide.

  • Ahuh...just noticed that. I already bought one for my youngest sister's birthday so I stopped looking into this product about 2 months ago. I might get a Garmin Nuvi 1390T for my oldest sister. I saw it on Wal Mart's website for $254 and I liked that price because I haven't seen a GPS unit with traffic and the lane assist feature for that price.

  • Then you need to look at dropping prices on the Garmin nuvi 4.3" screen 755T (765T w/Bluetooth) or 855T with Voice Recognition. Also, do a Google search for "Black Friday GPS Sales". You'll see the 265 through 265WT series going for $119 - $169.

  • Thank for the tip but that's not what I'm looking for. I just found the 265WT for $169.99 @ Radio Shack but I noticed that it didn't have the lane assist feature and a couple of others. I'll have to see if it's worth spending more money for only 1 or 2 more features. Last year my sister told me about Black Friday...I woke up at 3AM to go to the store & I don't think I'll do that again. It was a zoo in there.

  • did yoi byu 1302T, how is it? I thinking to buy NUVI 1350T

  • @ropke200

No Sorry I didn't get it so I can't help you out there. I always recommend people to watch a c-net video on it. I've always found their services to be quite helpful. Hope you find what you're looking for...best of luck with it.

  • He was right about 1 thing...I have a Garmin Nuvi 200 (the cheapest model out there) and I LOVE it....it is the best electronic device I have ever purchased. I just love every single basic feature about it. My two favorite features are the phone numbers that it provides when you find a point of interest (that's nice because it's not just a location finder but it's like having a Yellow Pages with you) and the automatic route recalculation when you miss turns or make a wrong turn. Great stuff.

  • They say this covers North America. Mexico IS part of North America but often not included. Can anyone verify for me that Mexico is indeed included on this unit? Getting ready for a 2+ month trip and need it.

  • No, because it's considered to be part of CENTRAL America

  • Hey guys, check out my video of this thing on a plane during take off and at cruising altitude.

  • online at mynewcheap, exellent price, excellent service :)

  • 179.99 at dell with online code coupon: J8?LCPQ2Q5909T

I agree that this isn't a comprehensive review, but after reading several other online reviews, I jumped on this. Can't wait to get my new gps device.

  • does this have canada maps??

  • How does this work for hunting where there are no roads? Can you mark the fishing spots? How about geocache?

You have to be really scatterbrained if it has to remind you of red light cameras. if you input the warning, won't you get a ticket as you run the red light ? A fat ticket will remind you so I don't see why it would need to do that.

  • If any GPS made on the planet does NOT have (serch by coordinates), it isnt worth squat! Only TomTom and Garmin has these features as far as I know. Coordinates allows you to pin point anywhere by using google earth. I enjoy fishing and most boat landings have NO address. Also, theirs lots of home addresses that are not accurate to a gps unit. Im amazed other companies have not picked up on this!

  • Review does not mention built-in receiver for Lifetime Traffic reporting, Favorites, everyday usage. Review was helpful but not comprehensive. Big selling point for me that made me decide was this traffic function and larger screen than 265T, and, also, highly rated by a well-known consumer reviewing organization.

  • does the traffic feature indicate speed? also, if there is a traffic jam will the garmin provide an alternate route?

  • You talked a lot and said nothing. We already know what a gps is.

  • it is a good unit, however i wish it would tell me the gas prices. my friends earlier model gives gas prices..

  • The 'MSN Direct' add on gives the gas prices, but you have to subscribe for this.

  • "I watched this thing to learn about the free traffic feature. Either I went to sleep during the boring and repetitive parts or you didn't cover this, which is the thing that puts the T on the end of the model number and makes it different from the 265W" What he said!

  • I've since done two videos covering the Free Traffic reporting on the 265WT. Check them out! Search "265WT Traffic" or my username.

  • I watched this thing to learn about the free traffic feature. Either I went to sleep during the boring and repetitive parts or you didn't cover this, which is the thing that puts the T on the end of the model number and makes it different from the 265W

  • Come on, upload in HD please.

  • Bauer is a POOPYHEAD!

  • omg... PLEASE SOME PC STUFF

  • For these guys every product is the best ever made, for ever and ever. And ever.

  • thats because technology only gets better - dumbass

  • the quality of this video was lack luster , to say the least

  • i have the 255wt and its great.

  • So do I! Cost Me $249.99 at BEST BUY

  • this is not tiger direct we used to.

Who cares about cables, gps and bullshits.

We want mobos, gpus, coolers and stuff

  • ROFLLMFAO

  • is there is anyone that knows alot about computer components? if so message me please i need help

  • shure like what?

  • google is your friend! - never failed me

  • tomtom are way better in updates. they are free with the home software

  • i wish u could watch movies and browse the internet on these things

  • buy an iphone

  • Why are they not reviewing any motherboards that are out or the new i7 cpu's like wtf is this gps systems no one cares about them

  • They did one, but i'm thinking the same thing.

  • but what if i dont have a car .. what do i do with this then ?

  • strap it to your forehead lol

  • haha yeah ... i guess.

  • thats kind of a stupid question.

  • I use a Magellan 4850- It cost $599.99 but its awsome, it has live traffic updates, voice recognition, voice navigation, text to speech, and its a super wide 6.5" Wide Screen. Its awsome.

  • heh, yeah for 600.00 damn dollars, lol. Get real, there only GPS units! Who needs those frilly features?

  • Or you could buy a 2.5" generic gps which will get you lost and just shows a dot moving on a 2d image with no turn signals, no text to speech- obviously blue tooth hands free calling and voice recognition commands are out of the question- for a hundred bucks. There ya go, you get what you pay for.

  • I think you missed my point, this unit here probably has all the features anyone really needs is what I`m saying ...for $220.

The pricier units may have a faster chip with less reception dropouts, but it`s not like the cheapest Garmin (the Nuvi 205) is weak. A friend has that one and I thought it worked great. I`m shopping for my 1st GPS and I can`t justify and extra $400 for mainly- VR, 3Dimaging of buildings and a wider screen. I don`t want to watch DVDs on it. Smaller = more convenient too.

  • we got a megellen for $100

its got 3d map text to speach, voice commands

we dont need hands free because we have headsets

and voice command reconition is not justifiable for an xtra 150$

and most of the time when we actully need it, its a long trip and there is a passenger who can use it

  • garmin map updates are a rip off

  • You guys made a lot of videos today!
