  • you can have your own for very low price of $6,169.00 + shipping

According to ebay as of 01/14/2012

I got my BOXX 2xQC Xeon for 600$ for 4 more cores i can get another BOXX and pair them for little bit over 250$ and total of 1450$ for not one but TWO well build computer with costumer support beyond hp

  • sound is recorded with a damn banana xd

  • Hi . .Can you please suggest me a good computer for rendering like Maya Fluid Simulations, Real Flow Hybrido Simulation. .Im not interested in gaming. I want best computer for rendering 3d Architecture and my VFX things. One Doubt Does Highend Quadro Cards helpful in Rendering or Not??? Eagerly waiting:(

  • @srikumartata BOXX boxxtech DOT com

  • How much does this team need this hp z 800

  • FYI Follow-up: I removed both of the newly installed RAM SIMMs and re-installed on the same side of the 6/6 slot config as the original (3)x2 GB SIMMs. The 12 slots are configured as 2 rows of 6 slots each; black & white (BWBWBWBWBWBW). I originally installed the new SIMMs into slot #s 7 & 9, as the original 2 GB SIMMs were placed in slot #s 1,3 & 5. But, it appears that slot #s 1-6 are associated with the 1st processor and 7-12 are for processor #2. This solved the problem described earlier...

  • Also, depending upon the GPU that was installed by your Dad's company, I would be willing to swap a brand new (maybe 4 hours, total) NVIDIA 560ti for whatever card you have in the machine. I'm sure that you are aware that the 560ti is an excellent gaming card but, contrary to what I was told by "others", it is not such a great CAD card. Just a thought...any advice on the RAM config would be greatly appreciated! Thx-RD (Sorry SO long :-)

  • I suppose, due to the odd arrangement of (2) 4 GB SIMMs and the original (3) 2 GB SIMMS. I am trying to find info RE how I might best install the RAM chips that I now have in order to gain the best result. However, in response to the comment RE the $100 machine, YES...DO NOT HESITATE!!! You can make a seriously kick-@## gaming computer out of this beast. (Cont'd...)

  • I ran out of memory with only 2 ACADM 2012 .dwg's open (relatively small drawing files) when I attempted to start Google SketchUp Pro 8.0. It shut down and I left it "OFF" and drove straight to my local computer supply store and bought (2) 4 GB RAM SIMMs, returned to the office and installed them. The achine recognized that the additional RAM had been installed but it was not "available" to the system. (Cont'd...)

  • I started out with a mid-range config, focusing on GPU punch, with (2) NVIDIA Quaddro 4000 GPUs and a single, 2.4 GHz quad-core processor. Unfortunately, my "understanding" of it's "basic" RAM config was that it would arrive with a minimum of 12 GB DDR3 1333 MHz RAM; not so. It arrived (my fault, of course, for "Ass"uming) with only 6 GB of RAM :-( Having never attempted to utilize my software suite (Autodesk Prod. Design-Premium) with such a small amount of RAM, I gave it a go. (Cont'd...)

  • Happily, I just received my first HP Z800 WS :-) I absolutely LOVE it in all aspects of my expectations of a relatively high-end (high-end for me) workstation! I would certainly recommend it, regardless of the price, as one can start-out with a reasonably affordable config and upgrade, as the video explains, in a nearly endless variety of ways (cont'd...)

  • Over 100GB ram?!?!?!? WOOOOOW!!!!

  • 4:43 “With tasks like video and image rendering, it blew all the other workstations — that I've ever reviewed — out of the water.”

What is that supposed to mean? That it's faster than (older) systems that you've reviewed previously...?

  • ill give you $200 for one if you get some extra and want to sell some.

  • I run small drafting business, speed of my work PC is essential. I was ‘Ping-Ponged’ from one so called “Tech Support specialist” to another.

At present I’m seriously considering Mac-Pro with Boot camp to run Win-7 64bit.

    HP – SUCKS!!!!

  • @Fokysnik2 HP is fucking awesome. Mac is shit, they're fucking overpriced. I know that, because I have one. A MacBook Pro 13" Intel i5 early 2011 version, and it's shit. I would get a TWICE, maybe even THREE times as good HP laptop than this MacBook I have now. 8 hours of battery life? Pfft, bullshit, I would be lucky if I had 4 hours. If you don't believe I actually own this MacBook and hate it, here's proof ------> .

  • @DiViNiTY1337

Do you have HP Z800, dual Xeon E5620, 24Gb RAM, SSD C: drive, SSD D: drive, 2Tb F: drive, dual Nvidia Quadro FX 1800. This machine a year ago was $12000 AUD, and it runs slower then my 3yo home PC i7 with 12Gb RAM. Unless you design in 3D environment Mineral Processing Plant with at least 50 000 parts, do not even mention Mac Book Pro 13" or any other laptop. Z800 specked to what I have should be brilliant, but it's not. I am talking about HP Tech Support, they SUCK!!!

  • @Fokysnik2 Hmmm... That's weird, because my dads company, which I bought my year old Z800 from (If you would have read the earlier comments) with dual Xeon E5620's is fucking awesome. And don't you think I'm not using it for CAD and shit, I do. Catia V5, the 100% full version, and I guarantee it's a shitloads of better software than your piece of shit $1000 software. My dads company is both educating and developing new things in Catia, so I know what I'm talking about. Now, Mac is shit, period.

  • @DiViNiTY1337 Well, I did read your earlier comments, checked your profile.... Didn't see much. Software I use is "Product Design Suite 2012 Ultimate" by Autodesk, look it up. Like I said before, I have problem with HP TECHNICAL SUPPORT or lack of it to be exact. The Z800 was good until I've run out of space on 110GB C: drive, when HP authorized "Tech dude" swapped it for 240GB that is when it slowed down. BTW using Z800 Workstation for "...shit..." (your words) not quite appropriate.

  • @Fokysnik2 One question then, why did you run out of space on an SSD? Don't people use an SSD only to boot your computer with, maybe have your OS Antivirus and your Autodesk software, then nothing else?

  • @DiViNiTY1337

SSD was only 110GB (55GB x2 RAID), I had to have Win7 is 4-5 Gig (I think), Autodesk packages 2010, 2011, few other things. You right, only OS and software that I needed for quick start up were on C: drive. When I got new Autodesk PDS 2012, I had only 60GB left and 2012 needed 25GB standard install and over 30GB with some extras. I'm sure you aware of 'drive lockup' when you exceed 75% on the disk, I'm not sure if it works for SSDs, but I wasn't game to find out.

  • @Fokysnik2 Well alright, still bad decision to choose a Mac that's twice the price and half the power though.

  • Cool looking - yes, fast "out of the box' - yes. I bought one October last year, ran beautifully, until I ran out of space on C: drive (SSD were very expansive). Ordered bigger drive (Revo), then I thought lets get second CPU (Xeon E5620) and extra 12gig of RAM. Took FOUR MONTH to get those things, then I was told 'Mother Board is DEAD' then it was wrong heat sink.

So, if you buying HP: DO NOT! hope to get support in a hurry, if any at all!

  • Ive just spent the last 20 mins trying to fix what I thought was a broken right channel speaker...to find out that the audio on this video is left channel only. Who ever edited this - YOU'RE FIRED!

  • @avidfcp7 HAHAHA.....

  • Now, my dads company will soon upgrade their computers from this one (stupid as it might be, since they are really go) and I just might get my hands on one of them for like around $100.... Will it be a good gaming PC? Right now they have some sort of graphics card that is specialized for CAD programs such as Catia, Inventor, etc, so I will change it to a good gaming graphics card, will it then be a good setup? Thanks.

  • @DiViNiTY1337 For $100 it will be a sweet gaming PC. You should buy a bunch and sell them. I wish I could get one for $100.

  • @justechn Yeah that would be awesome, but I can only get my hands on one of them ;) They have 12 of them at their "primary" office? (Does that make sense?) And they will move 10 of them to their other office, so there is only 2 available, and there are a lot of people wanting them. It's pretty beneficial to have a dad who owns the company though, so I will at least get one of them :)

  • @DiViNiTY1337 The CPU is not actually gaming friendly... you would want an i5 i7 than the Xeon's... Mine runs at 2.13GHz which makes the games a little sluggish for some weird reason. Though it is a sweet system for basically anything.

  • @ZedPhoton Have you got the 5606's then, since they run at 2.13GHz? Well, hopefully the CPU's in the model I am getting are the Xeon 5690's, which runs at 3.46GHz, and there are 6 cores, instead of 4. And I have read that I will be able to overclock them to 4GHz ;) There might be the Xeon 5675, 5660 or 5650 in my system instead of 5690, depends if they went with the 850 or 1110W power supply, as I don't have the specs here now. They are still in the office though, wont get it for a few months :)

  • @DiViNiTY1337 I have the 5506's... Some stuff goes a little sluggish, but it is ok :) Ah I see :) If they were able to use the one in the Z400's it would be better. But I am not that bright og CPU design and busses :p

  • @DiViNiTY1337 Hey, wanna sell me some :)

  • @hirshagarwal Haha, I've only got one ;)

  • @DiViNiTY1337 lol, too bad, but how do games run on it?

  • @hirshagarwal Really smooth, as long as you change the graphics card from those working class cards. Put at least a GTX 560 in it :)

  • @DiViNiTY1337 Cool, that makes sense. I can't wait, I am hoping to get an i7 with a gtx 580 :)

  • @hirshagarwal For gaming? Then an i7 is very unnecessary. The Sandy Bridge Intel core i5 2500K is the best for gaming nowadays, because the newer gen i7's hyperthreading does nothing in games, it's only better for video editing and such. So an i5 2500K is what you should get :)

  • @DiViNiTY1337 Yes I know, but I am actually a video editor so that is why I am getting an i7. But for 3d modeling and the little bit of gaming that I do I would like to have a nice all purpose graphics card that will last a while (580)

  • @hirshagarwal Yeah the GTX 580 would be something to brag about... I've only got the 560 :/

  • @DiViNiTY1337 lol, I really hope I can get one, they are so fast. Hey, but the gtx 560 still is way better than my current graphics card :)

  • @hirshagarwal Yeah I guess. What card have you got now? :)

  • @DiViNiTY1337 right now i think I have a gt 7000 series. It's only got 512 mb of video memory too :(

  • @DiViNiTY1337 ,

You don't even know how jealous I am!!! :))) I mean it!

  • this is one HP that i would NOT be ashamed to be owning

  • @ddaybook7 No kidding, maybe if I won the lottery or waited until the next decade...

  • Mono audio really?

  • Good system but a far better alternative is 'SUPERMICRO 7046GT-TRF' . That system has 2x hot swappable 1400 watt PSUs, 4xpci-express slots that will run 4 graphics cards at asame bandwidth of 16x simultaneously. Plus 3 additional pcie express slots and two pci slots, 8 hotswap hard drive bays with all fitted cabling

  • this is expensive

  • waste of money with the case a normal case would be better like a antec cooler master

  • that motherboard seems pretty awesome, is it that great really? after all it must enable optimal performance for ANY custom setup...

  • HP is the inventor! The APPLE sucks compared to this MEGA COMPUTER!

  • @automotiveadbuilder you can still build one better than this making YOU the better computer builder.

  • I like this system and the DELL precision

  • OMG WHY DOES EVERY 1 COPY APPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE

  • @Armaangandevia1 how this copies apple?

  • @Armaangandevia1 it funny because the second the 6 core cpu came out you could build a 12 core pc. guess what it wasnt until nearly a year later that apple made a 12 core mac pro.

apple is generally behind, they still dont have usb 3.0, still dont have bluray drives, still dont have very good video card options. ect ect. the second those parts are released you can put one in your pc though, unfortunately not your mac.

  • @megamindstorm101 ... Which parts are you talking about , If you are talking about CPU's Yes you can change CPU's in a Mac Pro .... True , The Macs sucks when it comes to Graphics & Misc Hardware .... But the OS is rock solid ... Love the GUI .... Not everything in a Mac is bad ... God Bless

  • @megamindstorm101 macs can have blue ray dum ass....

and i never said that apple was being copied with the 12 core processor\ config

And apple powns why need USB 3.0

  • @Armaangandevia1 im talking about from the apple website and unless they just added that bluray add on today than no they dont have bluray, and wow "they pwn why do they need usb 3.0" is that your answer to a lack of features? "well you know they dont have a hardrive but they pwn so who needs it" um cause people who use a lot of external hardrives like to use fast connection to transfer data aka usb 3.0 I dont think it is possible for me to spend 1000$ on a dual core without getting usb 3.0

  • You are extremely, extremely stupid. I pity you.

  • @Marnetmar666 who
