@iblackqueen27....It's never too early to start. At this point you can just shampoo and keep them seperated, or shampoo and let them "marry" merge together grow together...

@afroprincess1...NOooooooo dont take them down start from where you are. You dont have to combine anything you can just stop tightening or palm rolling whichever method you use and go from their.
just decided to start free forming so i can have thicker locs, should i take my locs down and start all over or just combine the ones i have and go from there?

Your hair looks BEAUTIFUL. I cannot wait to get my froey front. I'm transitioning from maintained to freeform as well. Maintained for 3 years and freeforming for almost 2. Absolutely loving freeforming I feel silly for not going this route sooner :-).

Ok, I have a question...
I have starter loc, since nov of 2011 ---I decided to get locs for spiritual reasons. I recently got my 1st wash and retwist end of dec.
I also would like to free-form, to protect my nap line and edges and to strenghten my roots more ----------how early to too early to free-form???

Do you find it hard for the work place to accept freeform? I re-twist every couple of months just so my hair doesn't look crazy at work.

@Ceasonz just make sure after you shampoo them and while their still wet, pull them apart so they won't try to marry(stick together) hope that helps
