  • I did study abroad in Belgium for 4 years.. studied Theology

  • Going to take study abroad in London next year hopefully :)

  • I'm finishing applying to London metro as I speak :)

  • I think you may have turned my fondness for travelling into a passion. The bad news is that now I want to travel EVERYWHERE. And I don't have the money for that. *cries*

  • I'm welsh and i'd love to study in the US maybe? Or maybe england if that counts as abroad :P

  • Poland is awesome. C:

  • Hannah love Poland.

  • I haven't started Uni yet, but next september I go to the University of Kent, and I will be doing a year abroad in America in 2014! :P

  • I am really happy for you haha. I'm hoping to head off to Ireland, I'm from the Bahamas so its a long way away!

  • I am studying abroad at the moment. I'm in America for my Phd. So its a bit different than the normal study abroad thing

  • i'm going to be studying abroad/transferring to a school in poland!

i'm absolutely thrilled about it and i plan to travel all across europe while there for the next 3ish years :)

i'd also like to study in shanghai or elsewhere in china. i "lived" there for 2 months this past summer and I. NEED. MORE. (you would understand. china is to me what london is to you :D)

  • I love Europe, specifically London and Paris. It'd be cool to go to those places, but I want to study abroad in Shanghai or Beijing to practice my Mandarin. I speak Catonese at home, but I really want to learn more Chinese and get better at it. :)

  • I'm looking into doing a study abroad program in 2013. I wanna go to Ireland, England, India, or France. I thought about Italy, but I'm going next summer to visit my sister. I'm a senior :) Can't wait to see this series.

  • I've been looking into studying abroad in Spain or Argentina this summer. I've always wanted to go there but never planned it out to travel there or try to study abroad until recently. But recently I've been thinking of possibly going to grad school in the UK for similar reasons that you said that it's easier to travel to different places from there. Plus it would be cool to live in another country for a year or two. Anyway, have fun in London! :-)

  • Im going to apply to Tech Music School in London next year. I hope that i get accepted.

  • Hey! I'm planning to study abroad in England, too. My original plan was Spring semester of 2013, but now I'm leaning towards the full academic year. I haven't exactly figured out where in England I'd like to go, though (heh, that rhymed...). Hopefully I'll figure that out. I can't wait to hear how it goes. Would you give any tips as you go along?

  • I studied abroad in Glasgow, Scotland and loved it! I miss it like crazy and had the time of my life. Have fun in London! :)

  • I live near London and I want to go to University elsewhere in England for the first year and then maybe study abroad. I want to go to the US (I have a couple of places in mind) but I'm only in my first year of sixth form college so I have two years yet :(

  • I'm doing a semester of high school in Germany right now!

  • aaaah!! I am studying at Leeds for the spring semester! just got my final acceptance email two days ago. SO. FREAKING. EXCITED.

  • Are you dating Liam? As in littleradge?

  • Are you dating Liam? As in littleradge?

  • I really want to study somewhere on the Pacific Coast, but not California, because thats too similar to the climate of my city, and I've never been there, so it'll be a new experience.

I encouraged a friend to study chess, so now he studies abroad in Russia

  • I did a summer abroad program two years ago where I was in England for a month. I stayed primarily in Manchester (as the program was through the university) as part of a creative writing class and literary landscapes class. The literary landscapes class was fantastic, as I got to see where so many famous authors lived and wrote, such as Haworth (The Bronte Sisters) and the Lake District (Wordsworth). If you have the opportunity, DO go to the lake district, as it was absolutely breathtaking. :)

  • I was in London last week. I really really really want to go there for grad school and now that I'm back home, am kind of bummed that I still have a few years left before that happens.

  • My sister studied abroad in London earlier this year for her winter semester and my good friend studied in France for her final quarter (yes, they do quarters) this spring; her college had a campus in a castle in some small town. They both loved it . Good Luck!

  • I want to study abroad in either Scotland or Ireland, but that probably won't be a financially viable option for me.

  • I want to study translation in Barcelona! but is really expensive u.u

  • Yessss I want to study abroad! I'm the same age as you and I think that it's an amazing that you're able to travel! Unfortunately I don't really have the financial freedom to go anywhere. Also my program is pretty specific (in that it's difficult to find the same courses in other universities). Hopefulllly third year though? Maybe? I'll see =D

  • I'm studying in London this fall as well. I am incredibly excited, but also sad to be leaving my college here in the US. It's going to be weird not seeing my college friends for the semester (or for those who are going abroad the opposite semester, the whole year). But I also cannot wait to go! I know it's going to be an amazing experience--I want to travel and make new friends and hang out with some of my friends from youtube and just experience the city!

  • Study abroad is an awesome experience. I did a summer abroad in Tours, France, studying French language. It was amazing. The only problem I had living abroad was I wasn't with close friends and I don't make new friends too easily. It's awesome that you'll have friends that you'll get to see (and you've been abroad before).

  • I'm moving to London for Uni in 13 days....but I leave in England so it isn't really the same! :) Maybe see you around campus...possibly. Haha.

  • @Sazil012 Ergh. I suck at writing tonight. *I live in England. I think you're going to the same Uni as me too, if its the one you were tweeting about months, and months back. It'd be cool to meet you :) But yeah, either way, enjoy London!

  • Hip Hip Hooray! I'm so happy for you!

  • I'm thinking of studying Italian when I go to university next year, or some other modern language, because I want to go to Italy for a year. I mean, I love learning new languages but a big incentive to study a language is the year I could spend in another country. I'm really excited :D

  • Studying abroad!! Amazing! I've studied in England, Spain and Poland for short periods. Not like a semester or a year! They were like summer exchanges or summer schools, so really short!! But to be honest, they were really good opportunites, to see what kind of differences between countries in the specialty you're studying, for researches or just to improve your language, to meet new people, to see new places! So it's so nice to hear you're going! Have fun! :)

  • I kinda got screwed around so I might not be able to go to uni as planned this year, if I don't they I might work and save money this year and and go study in america next year.

  • I just studied abroad in London this past spring and am so jealous of you! I wish I was going back this semester, best of luck!

  • You should definitely check out the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU if you're thinking of transferring to an nyc school.

  • If you study abroad, how hard is it to get your destination country to grant you loans and things? I would love to study in the US, but I am worried about funding it, could I get grants from the US? Sorry, long question

  • I've been on 3 student exchanges, so I'm fairly seasoned.

  • If you make any videos tutorial-type things about studying abroad could you please make one about how you applied for it and the process of getting accepted into a program? You don't have to, but I'm curious on how you did it (it seems quite complicated). Also, have fun in England! :)

  • id love to study abroad, somewhere in the states or spain maybe, id love to do that!

  • Your excitement about studying abroad makes me want to do it too :D and I'm really home bound! I travel alot with my parents but I've never felt ready to travel on my own.

  • What's with all these youtubers (really, just you and christina), thinking that Poland isn't a cool/exciting/normal place to visit? I knew Christina would come back loving it, and she did :D. No more hating on Poland!

  • @QuiteIncredible It's not hating is we just know nothing about it. Neither of us had never heard anything about Poland. There is a difference between hating and not knowing :P

  • @owlssayhooot I know I know, I'm just picking on you :). I visited when I was 11 so unless that happened, I probably wouldn't be interested in it either.

  • i studied abroad for my last year of high school in Zürich Switzerland. Hoping to go abroad again during my university studies but I'm not quite sure where yet

  • its really odd hearing someone talking about england as abroad. have an awesome time in london :)

  • I did study abroad in Norway last year and it was absolutely the most fantastic experience of my life. I'm glad you've got the opportunity to do study abroad!

  • I'm really interested in traveling and study abroad. I might go a couple places, but the number one place I for sure want to go is Reykjavik, Iceland.

  • @dreamingginny Oh, because it's totally different from here. It's small and natural, yet still on the forefront of innovation and rights.

  • I spent a semester by an estuary at Williams Mystic maritime program, which was only five hours from my home institution. It was nonetheless great. I also spent a "January Term" in East Africa which was beyond amazing.

  • Guys she's not telling everyone where she is going to school because she's going to Hogwarts.

  • I want to study abroad in London as well! I want to study music there though. I think the way their orchestras interpret music versus how our American ones do is fascinating. Unfortunately I started my first year of college last week, so I probably won't travel for at least another semester or two. but congratulations to you being able to do it! :)

  • I'll be in Bristol this year. I didn't want to do London because I feel like there everyone is from somewhere else like in New York City. I kind of wanted to be around Brits who had been born and raised there. Not that people haven't been born and raised in London, but I guess I just wanted a "smaller" experience.

  • I'm a senior in highschool and this is exactly what I want to do in college.. my question is how do I get involved with it? What do I have to do? Tip? Tricks? A reply back would be wonderful. I'm wanting to study in China or Japan. But basically anywhere is fine with me. :)

  • Just got back from study abroad in Glasgow and had the BEST time. The people you meet always make the trip, though, for sure. Make sure to join a couple of school clubs so you can meet locals (although it sounds like you have lots of connections all ready). And go dancing at a Propaganda event, they have them all over the UK! They are So much fun! :D

  • Now that you live in London, I will find you on the streets and when I do, you will receive the greatest hug you've ever had... Not creepy at all.

  • I took a year off from school and worked abroad in London for 6 months. It was the number one most formative experience I've had thus far. London is the perfect place to travel to (as you already know), and you'll have a blast! :) I'm so excited for you and I look forward to hearing about your adventures! :)

  • love the vid, but why London? I would take Seattle over London any day. Even if I have only been to London... either way, I find all the American cities I've been to are better than London. I dunno, personal preference i suppose... :)

  • I will work abroad, in the US. I'm really looking forward to it. It's very exiting and a bit creepy to leave everything behind. And also the change from europe to the US.

I hope you have a good time in London. It's a great city.

  • I got an offer from a uni in London but just about missed the grades :( Getting them rechecked though! Only need a few more marks! Got an offer from a uni here (Ireland) anyway and I'm gonna try study in Germany in my 3rd year! (:

  • I just did a year in England and I really enjoyed it ^^ hope you have a great year like I did =)

  • I would love to go abroad! I've never gotten a chance to leave the states, and I'm only a high school sophomore but I've wanted to go to London or Paris for so long, and the idea of going to school in either places for a semester sounds like Christmas every day.

  • This is random but has anyone ever mentioned that you look like Deborah Ann Woll who plays Jessica on True Blood? I didn't notice it until just now!

  • i'm still in highschool, but i definitely want to study abroad, if not just go to university in a different country. right now language is a barrier, so i may end up in england or scotland, but who knows...

  • I am desperate to study abroad but it has never been in the cards for my undergrad so I am seriously considering heading overseas for my Master's degree once I finish. I'm thinking either around London or in Scotland, though I still have to graduate before any of that happens. Either way I want to travel and move around while I'm still young and not committed to anyone (meaning a boyfriend or children)

  • I would really love to study abroad in London or Prague. My older brother studied abroad in Prague and he fell in love with it. His experience there was so wonderful, so I'd like to go there myself.

  • I'm moving to London for my studies too! It's not really studying abroad as I'll be doing my whole degree there but your video makes me want to start a video diaries of some sort...

  • I wish I could study abroad in London, but that's expensive. Instead I'm just gonna graduate and move to Los Angeles. I think that might be a simliar experience! Job hunting in a new place! With a degree it should be...easier.

  • I hope you have a wonderful time in London! I Never really thought about studying abroad until i saw that it was an option when i started looking at university's but i now know that I really want to, and that has partly bee spurred on by Your's and Rosianna's adventures. I'm still not sure where i would like to study abroad but it will most likely be North America or New Zealand

  • Haha during the whole video I was thinking about how I wanted to study abroad in Poland!

  • Good luck! Don't let the Valley of Tears get to you!

  • I like how you're keeping your hair wavy!

  • I just wanna go anywhere in the UK... My parents wouldn't be too thrilled with it though. My mom keeps guilting me about college. I don't think she'd even be happy if I was at a university that was around 2 hours away.

  • I plan on studying abroad in France through a sign language program, which to me is just doubly cool as studying abroad with hearing people :)

  • I studied abroad in London for a semester last spring! I am planning on going to grad school there after I get my undergrad degree this year! London is also my favorite city!

  • Eh, studying abroad in a country that speaks your language, I don't think I'd do that. But English speaking people do that a lot, for some reason.

I don't think going to France would have been as big a challenge as going to the US. It's still pretty sweet though :)

  • If i get the chance to go to university (because of how much debt students are going to be getting into now.) i might go toto study in London, it isn't abroad for me but it's quite far away and it's still more of an experience. AND my brother has just finished studying and he's still living there, so i'm follwing his footsteps, he seems to have had alot of fun :')

  • I went to highschool in India... which was AWESOME :D

  • This is my first year at college, but someday I think it would be fun to study abroad. What a great experience! I have a friend (who is also really into Harry Potter :) ) who will be studying abroad for the Spring Semester in London. :) I've told her to tell me aallll about it.

  • I studied abroad in London and ADORED it. You're going to have so much fun. I'm going back in September too. I'll keep an eye out for you :)

I miss tuna and sweet corn and PG Tips and Tesco and Pret and Wagamamas... I have a problem...

  • Good luck! You will be great. Sound well, Lovely! Getting out and seeing the world. I may or may not be a little jealous. I'm jus saying! ;)

  • I didn't study abroad and I probably won't get the chance to since I'm *for now* done with college =P But I do LIVE abroad (in Germany) and LOVE LOVE LOVE it to death <3

  • I really wish I could do something as amazing as you are this coming school year! I want to study abroad but I know I probably can't do to money and rising tuition prices and that I know my parents need me to finish college before my sister starts. but i'm happy for you and can't wait to see this! :]

  • I would study abroad in Poland! I'm Polish and have only been there once since I was born so I would love to spend more time in my homeland haha. Other than that I can't study abroad because I'm graduating college...but I can always go to grad school in England or Poland or something.

  • I wish I could study abroad :( but when I looked into it, it was way too expensive. And I'm one of the most mediocre students on the planet, so that probably wouldn't help me...

  • I would love to study in the US, but I ended up sacrificing the opportunity to do that in order to go to a better university.

  • I plan to go to Edinburgh when I go on exchange my second year of University (starting my first this year)

  • When I'm a junior I'm going to study in Spain for two weeks!

  • I defiantly want to study abroad. Preferably in England because foreign language is not my thing. But I want to be an anesthesiologist so I cannot really think of an excuse to leave America for the UK

  • I am planning to study in the UK and if i like it then possibly living there for a bit. The only thing that really draws me back from doing that is the whether - the temperature in Australia is VERY different from the UK... And I love the beach.... Can't wait to find out what you think of it :D

  • So jealous. My parents won't let me. :(

  • I am so excited for you! Next summer (2012), I'm going to England for 10 days with my high school, so it's kind of like studying abroad, but no classroom-work. Actually going to school in France or England or Italy would be dream for me, and I'm working hard to make it happen!

  • I studied abroad in Sweden and it was the BEST experience of my life. I wish I had filmed more stuff with my friends, I did take around 5000 photos though. i can't wait to see your vlogs! :)

  • I studied abroad in Italy about two years ago and it was an incredible experience. I visited London while I was in Europe and if I was able to study abroad again I would have chosen there. :) Hope you have an awesome time in London!

  • Is that the gnome in the background from that travel commercial?

  • I think the travelocity gnome is using your laptop.

  • My cousin studied abroad in London last year, and since then I've always loved the idea of being able to do that once I reach University.

  • im thinking of studying abroad in london or somewhere in india (probably Delhi) next summer

  • I'm moving to Edinburgh in 8 days! I'm going there to do my Masters in Literature and Modernity. I'm ridiculously excited. I'm hoping to get a part-time job over there so I can make my student visa into a work visa after my program finishes. I'm pretty certain I belong in the UK and though I want to live in London at some point, Edinburgh seems like the perfect city to go to school. (it's also a cheaper city to live in!) I hope you have a great year!

  • I want to study abroad so much that I'm thinking of actually just going to a British university. Also, I really like the differences in the system (3 year degrees, more specialized), and it's significantly cheaper than American higher education. Still working on convincing my parents, but I'm looking at schools in London, Glasgow, and Cardiff.

I would LOVE pre-leaving videos of packing and stuff.

  • Yay! I'm so happy for you. Good luck.

  • Taking a gap year between high school and college was the best decision of my life. I studied abroad in Israel this past year and now I'm going to college. So glad I took the year off, which was really a year on! Best year of my life. Wish I could re-live it. Good luck in London, and be sure to do a lot of traveling all around the world, because as you're so right, it's easier to travel from there. Seize the opportunity while you're young, people, to travel, get out of your comfort zone.

  • Really cool, I hope you are going to have a great year! I live in the Netherlands and next year I will be doing a highschoolyear in the USA. I'm really excited for it, but also a little bit nervous to leave all my family and friends and everything! I'd love to hear all your story's during your study abroad year, and I can't wait until it's my turn next year =D

  • :o

    Are you copying?

I'm gonna do the exact same thing next year (it would have been this year if I didn't have to do my year over again last year).

I wanna go to the same place for the same reasons and I also love travelling!!

    This is just too weird.

  • @unaiza7 How could I have copied something that hasn't happened yet? LOL.

  • @owlssayhooot Hahaha, yeah that would be pretty hard to do. :D

It's just so weird and cool at the same time.

I hope you'll have a lot of fun! Maybe you can give me some tips for next year after your adventure in London. ^.^

  • I'm flattered that you think London is your favourite city in the world, it's my home town :)

  • I'm starting Uni this year and doing Chinese so I get to spend the second year in Beijing. It's gonna be awesome :D

  • I wish I could study abroad! I would get away from this boring little town i live in. But unfortunately I'm starting high school tomorrow as a freshman! So four more years until college... sigh.

  • TRAVELOCITY GNOME!!!!!! :)

  • I studied abroad for a month this summer because I'm still in high school, I went to Dublin to study English and I stayed with a host family and I loved it. Hope you enjoy it! :D x

  • WOOO LONDON!

  • A packing video would be helpful. I'm going to study abroad next year, but I still have to decide between the UK (somewhere indeterminate in the UK), Copenhagen, and Berlin.

  • What a great opportunity! hope you love it :D

  • I really want to study abroad in America (or possibly Canada) for a year! (I live half an hour away from London) Sadly, I don't think it's an option at my university. Hope you have a great year doing it the other way round! I'll be watching what you think of my (almost) home city with interest.

  • I'm studying in Germany it rocks

  • Have fun in England, I recommend you visit Chester in Cheshire and North Wales it's amazing there!

  • I appreciate the Roaming Gnome behind you. I have 2 :)

  • I would just love to study abroad in general, I don't think it would matter too much where I went as long as I found a good group of English speaking people to be with

  • I just studied abroad!!! I did a summer session in Oxford and just got back a week ago! It was a blast and you're right it's just so easy to travel from there. I went to Dublin for a weekend and had an amazing time. Have fun!!!

  • Ah yes, my strange Polish ambitions. I don't understand them either.

I'm jealous of your classes this year! Mine will not be this fun.

  • Super excited for all of your wonderful adventures Kayley! Even though I'll only be experiencing them with you through video format :)

I also want to study abroad in London, long time dream.

  • Student exchange to Italy :)

  • Studied near London, Though since Im from Germany its not that far away xD

also Im planing on doing another year somewhere else... maybe Australia, Holland or Japan...

  • I would love to study abroad in England and I am thinking about doing my Masters there. That won't be for another four years, though...

  • I was an exchange student in Chile during 2009-2010

  • It's actually my dream to study aboard in London too! Unfortunately my parents think it's a stupid waste of money so I'll have to try to work enough in the next 2-3 years to be able to afford it so it may not be possible. Would you mind telling me approximately how much it's costing you? Though I know you don't like talking about money so I'll be cool if you don't want to. I'm really looking forward to seeing your experience with it. =)

  • I literally just moved to the US from Europe for uni, and I won't lie, the transition gets more intimidating the closer you get to the date. I used to live here, and it was still quite...different . Still, it's totally worth it, I'll be studying abroad one year (quite possibly to London) and in general it's a great experience.

  • Kayley, are you doing study abroad through your school or through a different means? I've been wanting to study abroad in London for a while, but my school only offers a study abroad program(for Theatre Majors) in Hull. And I don't want to study in Hull, I want to study in London because I have friends there. Help?

  • i am so genuinely happy for you and am wishing you the best of luck in your studies (:

  • I just studied abroad in Japan for a few months, but it's funny how many of my friends have studied abroad or are studying abroad. One of them just got done studying in Poland actually, and I have another friend who is studying in New Zealand until January.

  • I would sooooo study abroad in London but due to family business I'm pretty well planted in Texas.

  • I wish I had studied abroad when I was in undergrad as many of my friends did. London or somewhere else in England would have been my first choice too! Then Australia, or Spain/Latin America (Spanish Minor), or France (maybe, my French is awful though)...

  • I'd want to study abroad either in Australia, UK, or South Africa

  • The school I'm looking at has a campus in New York as well as Florence, Italy! They have a program where you study in Florence your Freshmen Year (as well as a study abroad junior year)! So im hoping that is an opportunity that I could do because I love to travel and I love Europe!! :) have a great time in London!

  • I've never been to London, but your enthusiasm for it makes me want to go even more, haha. I've always really wanted to go and am glad to live vicariously through you.

  • I'm studying abroad in Strasbourg, France this fall. So, that should be awesome!

  • I would love to study abroad in London or Dublin (or anywhere, really. I just want to go places.). My cousin's studying abroad this year in a program that takes her to Italy, France and Spain, and I'm tremendously jealous of her. Have a beautiful time in London!

  • I love love love London too. My aunt lives pretty close to central london, over by Regents Park, and I have never been to a place where i was generally upset that i had to go home. You are so lucky! have fuunnnn :)

  • I actually had a dream the other day that I had the money and ability to study abroad in London, and when I woke up I was deeply sad that it was just a dream. So yes, I would like to study in London.

  • I want to study abroad in Germany. No idea where in Germany but I was taught German at school for around 6 years so i figured it would be better if I studied there. I can see why you are excited to move to London as it is a great city. I am from Scotland but live in Canada so I know how much people over this side of the Atlantic seem to love the other side :P

  • I'll be studying abroad in Glasgow for forensic art history this year. "Excited" is an understatement. Best of luck to you as well! :)

  • I studied in Sydney, Australia for a year and it seriously changed everything. It was the most valuable experience of my life and I can't recommend studying abroad enough.

  • I think studying abroad in Denmark or Sweden would be pretty sweet.

  • @WritingDisaster I'm Swedish, so I just have to ask: Why Sweden? :D

  • @SaraSchenstrom Because not many people want to go there for study abroad (from where I am from). People (again, I generalise) always want to go to England, Italy, Spain. I mean, I would kill to go anywhere foreign for a year, but I think going to an off the beaten track would be great. Plus, I am an avid/obsessed film watcher, and all the films that have been set or made in Denmark or Sweden have been absolutely brilliant.

  • @WritingDisaster Well, that makes sense! What's the point of going abroad if half the people you meet there are from the same place. ^^

  • I'm going to study abroad when I'm a junior, which is a year from now. I will probably go to France, because I've been taking French in school. It's looking like that will be my first real experience out of America (I've only been to Canada so far). And I'm dying to go. I too really like travelling, but I haven't done nearly enough of it. :-)

  • I genuinely want your life, I mean forensic science, London, it's just amazing :)

  • @AmelierDrexezz Well...I mean, I'm not doing forensic science (as I said, changing my major) and I've never taken a single forensic science class. So you'd probably be pretty disappointed with that aspect :P

  • @owlssayhooot yeah, but still, you have that freedom to 1.) change your major 2.) go to London and 3.) just have these amazing experiences, it's just wonderful :P I'm only in high school, so I kind of don't have that yet :) and forensic science just seems fun because of Bones (for me)

  • I'm so excited for you! And I'm also really pleased that you're doing this trip, I'll be going in 2 years so I'll use your videos to help me plan things out :P

I chose London for the same reasons mostly (never been so I can't justify why it's one of my favourites) but I hope to visit a lot of other places using London as my home base. Can't wait to see some vlogs from London!

  • My sister studied abroad in London as well and she loved it! Still talks about it and its been a couple years, she traveled a ton (Paris, Scottland, Ireland and several others) Spent a ton of money and from what I can tell doesn't regret it in the slightest.

    I'm so jealous, have fun@

  • I'm doing a similar sort of thing next year, but I'm working in a school instead of studying. As a break between high school and uni. Very exciting stuff, I hope you have a brilliant time!

  • I really want to study abroad in London as well. I hope I'll make that happen this year.

I hope you'll have great time there. I'm looking forward to your videos. (:

  • You're amazing Kayley. Have fun and be careful!

Your videos really make me want to do something more interesting in my life, like traveling. I still haven't decided where I'm gonna be going but for sure I want to study abroad...
