Nice playing! Looking at your fingers, it seems like this piece is a lot harder than one might think from just listening... you should post more recent videos of your playing if you get the chance =)
@lilly763 Thanks! I've been wanting to post my more recent pieces, I just need to find the time to record them. My camera and I don't get along very well...
@hahahaloveful Same!... you just have to remember to go easy on your pinkies and not practise for too long at a time... I tended to press the keys wayyyy too hard with my pinkies
@thinkgreenlovepurple For measure 28, my right hand is too small to play it, and that's not all.. My teacher told me to practice this atleast 2 hours every day. I'm not in high school yet, so hopefully my fingers will grow!
@hahahaloveful are you talking about the arpeggiated part? If you can reach an octave, then I think you'll be able to play it, if you jump a little from F and G to the high G. Or my teacher also gave me another option, to break up the chord (Fand G) in the RH accompaniment and play them as three notes with 2-1-5 fingering, if that makes any sense.
My hands are small too... the most I can reach is an octave, even if I stretch my fingers 180 degrees...We shouldn't let it stop us from playing :))
@BloodstainButterfly Yeah, at first my fingers just would not cooperate. Practising this piece was pretty hard on my pinkies because of the legato and playing the melody and all the dynamic contrasts. :)
A splendid performance! The mood is captured well. More dynamic contrasts are needed. Pay more attention to the phrasing and make sure the use of pedal is planned out well and does not mix harmonies. The melodic line can be brought out even more. When is your exam? What are your other pieces/study? I hope you post them! You are a fantastic player and I enjoy listening to your music.
@tonyyezj thank you! I appreciate your advice, I will work on those things! if it's possible, could you give me an example of where the pedal needs better planning?
My exam pieces are Sinfonia No. 6 in E Major (my favourite, I think) , Mozart's Sonata in c major, Nocturne in c sharp minor, and La Fille aux cheveux de lin... my other study is study in a major by schytte... I'm working on posting them as soon as I figure out my new camera :)
Sorry, I meant the phrasing. You were using the pedal at that time so I got confused. At 0:14, the small phrases need to be distinct (lift up after each of the 2 notes).
Those are fantastic pieces to play for an exam! I played the Chopin, and almost did the Debussy as well. But chose Over the Rainbow in the end. They didn't like my Chopin very much, I think I only got 10.5/12. But it was like a year ago so I don't remember. =D
I was considering learning Over the Rainbow in the beginning, but I didn't have time! But I did learn Decadent Sentimental Song.... I think most people pick Chopin for list C... I hope I can get at least 10.5 /12 ! :P

@thinkgreenlovepurple Yeah, I had a lot of problems with the pianissimo sections, but after lots of practice, it was better. :3
