The family tree of the house of Jurai is really messed up. Katsuhito is an ancestor of Nobuyuki from several generations back... and Achika's grandfather. To further confuse things, in the OVA (or OAV) timeline, Tenchi's mother's name is not Achika, but Kiyone.

all toonami really was was a collection of anime shows. they had badass voice actors, beautiful music, timeless characters, memorable storys and minor to light editing for americans. these shows today can be described as nothing less than classics.

I've always loved the original animation and style in the Tenchi Series.

I'd wish they had more of the original series...

GXP, and Ryo-ohki of the series kinda screwed the series.

Muyo, Universe, Tokyo, were pretty amazing.

I guess new anime really can't imitate what the old first generation anime's presented.

it's kinda weird how all of the series are set up. the OVA, Ryo-Ohki and GXP series are all canon with each other, while Tenchi Universe, the Tenchi movies, and Tenchi in Tokyo are canon in THEIR world. heh, i love this series so much ^.^! long live the Tenchi of everyone's hearts!

Tenchi Muyo will always be one of my all time favorite anime titles, and this movie is the reason for that. This was actually one of the first anime I ever watched, and its still a wonderful movie. I was actually almost moved to tears by the ending.

to Etonlor, when this movie was translated, they changed the name accordingly to english, and reworded it because it only makes sense read "tenchi in love". The actual literal translation from japanese to english reads as "tenchi surrounded by love". the meaning was meant to be interpreted in the way that tenchi is more surrounded by the love of his friends, as they are willing to risk their lives to save his existence. its more about tenchi and his friends than his mother and father.

The full title I think is "Tenchi Muyo! In Love" and I think the love part refers to the love his parents shared...since this movie centered on them. well the reason i cut the ending song was because the inglish version right were i cut it the screen get black and you star to see all the inglish credits and that for me kill the song. but if you look to your right in related videos`` you see the complete song.
