  • If the guy on the left digs his playing anymore, he's gonna have serious neck problems

  • sweet Jesus of Nazerath.

  • wow, amazing exercises demonstration, but I'm sorry, I only really liked it from 9:45 to the end. Sense of humor, swing, feeling, changes in rhythm...

    Nothing easy playing a capella.

  • I wish I could hit the "Like" button a few more times. This guy will be remembered for a VERY long time after he's gone.

  • @SneakyTeaBag Chris Potter is immortal !!!

  • Someone disliked this....someone shoot you.

  • "....and that's my daily warm up. Any questions?"

  • Who was the unfortunate person who did not like? Oh my God!

  • he's got some serious chops this guy.....

  • I'm going to go punch my sax in the face now.

  • @Cvern777 you don't say?

  • Damn you, Chris...

  • That reed must be hurting...

  • Ahora os contaré la verdad: Chris Potter no es humano.

  • I think he's just making all that shit up...

  • @ejwtpt of course thats what makes it amazing!!!!! the shit i make up doesn't even come close to this!!!

Chris Potters shit = Best thing mankind ever heard My shit= shit

  • GAWD DAYUM!!!!!!!!

  • Does any one know if thats a standard link or if its been worked on?

  • @Cvern777 spoke to chris once and he said no wedge or other prosthetic. He has or had a working relationship Theo Wanne, the refacer.

  • @chedoggy Okay, thanks. I was wondering because the upper register sounds darker than a standard link.

  • Giant Steps! 5:45

  • @deanmongerio thanks a lot:)

  • I guess I know what my next transcription project is.

  • no way!

  • I wonder what he thinks about when he does this a cappella style of playing. Just monstrous sounds and ideas out of this guy. Never ceases to amaze me how he constantly is pushing the limits of the saxophone.

  • @kylegeee "...he constantly is pushing the limits of the saxophone."

I couldn't agree more! Every generation has its players who push the limits of what was previously thought possible on their respective instruments. Potter is certainly doing this today.

I feel lucky to be alive at this time to experience it firsthand!

  • And no note nor interval was left unplayed ever again

  • Giant Steps quote at 5:46. what a monster player, jeez.

  • Scary!

  • Lot of Sonny, and a drip of Griff, and a whole bunch of Chris

  • impressive!

  • To the woodshed I go.

  • Chris is one of the all time greats of any era IMO - wow

  • Mastery!

  • cool

  • OMG!
