  • This is so cute!

  • I love Disney. I think it's so great they had a whole celebration to welcome a new Disney princess.

  • . . . This is adorable!! But I wont lie, the head for the Jesse costume kinda freaks me out >< They should of done real people for those.

  • @GirlYouDontKnow1237 lol I couldn't agree with you more!! ^_^'

  • I'm glad Disney made an African American princess. Nala from Lion King is already a queen! Lol.

  • I love how the horse is freaking out!

  • i think tiana shud hav her own restaurant in the park!! thumbs up i u agree!!

  • @AsianBear43

I think they are building a restaurant somewhere in Disney world

  • @MiMiproduction11 woot :D

  • so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am from Lousianna and i LOVE TiANA!!!!!

  • Why do they always show Belles Prince always in the Beast Form never in The Human form.? :/

  • @leJiNX so we can all appreciate the beauty within and the Belle by his side.

  • Wheres Naveen.? D: And I hate how they make Cinderella Blonde she isn' -___- and her dress blue -_- t and auroras dress isn't PINK.!

  • Tiana is JAMMINNNNNN

  • @cbailey58 what about a latino princess? then, they'll be covered

  • @animelover1234 and Russian too.

  • Prinsess Tiara? from what story? The princess and the frog?

  • @MCG55SS So true........I agree! and thank you for helping me understand your comment I do appreciate that : ) .

  • Its funny how its 2011 and all people see in this video is a black princess, some say there proud of disney for having a black princess some are saying disney is ruined some are saying its about time..none of these comments were being said when belle, snow white or cinderella walked the grounds and I understand they were original but people stop looking at skin...life has to rebirth itself I believe disney is trying to look past color and embrace all races Im not proud of disney I join them!!!

  • @hellokittypink25 although originally they wanted Naveen white so not only would they have their first black princes....but they would also have their first interracial couple (pocahontas and Rolf would don't really count because first of all, no one ever remembers Rolf and second of all, even though they do get married in real life, in the second movie it doesn't show it and leaves it to the viewers imagination.) Unfortunately many people complained and Naveen was colored in at the last minute.

  • wheres ariel? lol

  • @thewolfgirls2 i love ariel! ikr!

  • I think she should be sitting with Naveen

  • Kinda weird that they are premiering her at WDW with a New Orleans theme when Magic Kingdom doesn't even have a New Orleans Square. Seems a bit out of place :/

  • @SforzandoFilms I think its wonderful it fits just fine she is a disney princess and she belongs at the magic kingdom holding her reign : )

  • @AfricanTruthSerum It's actually not hard to not think back to that, even if it were true.

  • 0:25 That horse is not liking those fireworks!

  • shes now one of my favorite princesses... im 15 years old and love this movie :3

  • .........and disneyland is officially ruined

  • @Sepheria honestly honey disney has always been ruined this a cure.

  • do an asian princess next! And no...Mulan isnt a princess...sadly.

  • 0:27 That poor horse!

  • @blingblingshineshine She's still a princess though, as was the reason for this welcome.

  • @Kuraushi actually though this character is a princess which is the reason for this ceremony mulan became a female warrior/fighter she never became a princess

  • @blingblingshineshine well duh Disney didn't start out with her...smh

  • who is she??

  • HOW ABOUT WE MAKE A MEXICAN PRINCESS AND DISNEY :D

  • ROFL the horse

  • @teemell19

He did not agree with the fireworks!

  • I think Tiana's dress is the prettiest :)

  • @Rubystars1000 her name isnt Maddy and she was never a maid, although Cinderella was the one who did the dishes and the mopping and scrubbing the floors. so we forgive you for saying the wrong princess.

  • princesses missing from this welcome: Arieal, and pchohantus (SP)

  • haha rofl. this is why disney beats all other theme parks these type of things make it great

  • Do they still do the show boat jamboree? I'm going in Dec and I'm absolutely in love with the princess and the frog(love Naveen.XD)

  • When I met Princess Tiana I cried lol and I'm 21 years old.

  • Oh that poor horse pulling Princess Tiana's carriage got all scared and flipped out when the fireworks went off.... There's a reason the horses aren't out at night when the fireworks are going off!

  • @gabby33384 i know!! POOR HORSE!

  • props to all the disney characters. i can never stand all day and still be in a good mood.

  • I've seen this in Paris (:

  • 0:26

I like how they have to hold the horses down because they are so afraid of the fireworks.

  • First Black princess hahaha but she is soo pretty!

  • @alina4211 Yup, the first black princess. (About time IMO) All they need now are Spanish and Eskimo princesses. LOL

  • @alina4211 isnt she black women usually are sooo pretty : )

  • You know what I would like to see?

    A boy marry a princess.

But then you've got people saying "Well Shrek married Fiona" but seriously ._.

  • @AlterEgoFan Aladdin is a boy who married a Princess :P - They were standing on the stage too.

  • @AlterEgoFan What about Aladin? o.o;

  • @SuperMillieChan Oh! I forgot about him! Probably because I'd never seen it in full. :(

  • @OjosNativo

    Pocahontas a princes?? XD

  • @1MaRiSs1 Yeah. Pocahontas is a "princess" in almost the same respect as Mulan. Pocahontas is the Chief's daughter, making her like royalty. But I don't know what's the deal with Mulan...

I guess, since none of them married a prince, they're not princesses.

  • I wonder if Rapunzel will get a welcome like this

  • they had to watch the horses

  • I think it's very nice. I'm real proud of Disney for this. And they got a new ride and everything out of it too.

  • @MJMcGreg926 a new ride!?

  • @GrahamyMonster supposedly they have a new frog prince riverboat ride with the characters singing and dancing on board...or at least they revamped the previous riverboat ride.

  • @MJMcGreg926 It may just be a new show, not a full ride. It's still cool though.

  • @MJMcGreg926 Im sorry just need to ask exactly what are u proud of?

  • @BRENN0C1 have you ever even been? We went last year and it really is a terrific city.

  • i wish they sold all the shows they tape

  • How cute is that. God, I miss WDW. I was there for a whole year for an internship during 2007, and not a day goes by where I don't think of being there. I loved it.

  • when i was young i waited for a black princess so she would look like me...now im 19 and when i saw this movie i cried. i was soooo happy :)

  • Kinda sad about this...now so many are gonna be named Tiana...and I liked my name being kind of rare :(

  • i love New Orleans <3

  • So do you prefer the girl characters or the boys better? I like them both but what about someone else

  • princess tiana!!!

  • easily one of my top 5 favorite disney movies ever!

  • she's why i named my daughter tiana

  • This just makes WDW THAT much better. Makes me want to go again! *sigh*

  • Woohoo! Yay for Tiana

  • My daughter makes me watch this every morning.

  • @mydaughtermyworld haha u got it bad! i couls bearly sit through this 1 time hey why am i watching this.

  • @mydaughtermyworld AHAHAHAHA! That's too cute, i can't wait to get the DVD for my 2 year old. : )

  • Wahoo! Tiana's in the Magic Kingdom!

Prince Naveen looks just like himself from the movie! I like the shade-demons with Dr. Facilier- it looks like Halloween within a colorful atmosphere.

  • 0:26 the horses r freaking out lol!

  • It's what happens when anything loud suddenly bursts near your ear. :( And he/she was a beautiful horse too.

  • I didn't see this parade when I went to Walt DisneyWorld

  • I went to Disneyworld about a month ago... that parade was awesome!

  • cute

  • my god sister name is tiana

  • That's what makes this new princess' story a little "off". They set it in the 20's in New Orleans - it's extremely unrealistic for the 20's. They were going to do a chambermaid named Maddie, but got a lot of flak for that being too negative. That's why the movie was so very long in the making.

  • that is so awesome!!!

  • princess tiana has the most fun!

  • oh my gosh, that's so exciting!!

  • That showboat show looks fun!

  • When I said most Black Americans know nothing. I was talking about not knowing anything thing about the African society.

  • @GetAClueNow I read ur comment I am african american and I know a lot about the african american culture and the african culture I feel though your comment holds some truth it was written in the wrong content that is y some people are taking it offensive I feel disney didn't do the story with a base line of africa becasue of the lion king been there done that type mind. New Orleans is filled with rich culture for all races and surely wanted to relate to an array of individuals.

  • Did they do this for all the characters they introduced? Cause I would like to see that lol XD! Love this! The movie was fantastic!! No I need a bigger word... PHENOMENAL!!! lol XD!!

  • Man I wish I coulda Been there!!!!!!

    So Awesome!!

  • YAHOO!

  • Love her! I hope this show is there when we go to WDW in March!!!!

  • this is beautiful!!!!!!!!!

    Is that Anika noni rose?

  • nope

  • did anika just do the movie?

  • you wish

  • 0:25 Poor horse!

  • that's what I thought :(

  • I thought that the movie was amazing! And I loved the setting! It may not have been in africa, but New Orleans is a great setting and has a lot of culture! It was amazing!

  • not true. and i doubt that's because she's black, anyway.

i felt it was beautifully done... and she DOES get to be glamorous. besides, new orleans in the ROARIN' 20S?! that's an amazing setting! i'd rather be in the roaring 20s than the 1600s.

  • how come they dont really include mulan? she's a disney princess too...

  • she isn't technically a princess. She married a general of the army, not a prince.

  • Think about it,most of the Disneys princess had there film in setting where there minority or tribe orginated from.Example: all the white princess stories to place in Europe,Jazmine since she is arabian took place in arab world of Agrabah,Mulan who was i htink chinese?took place in China. why can't Tiana be in Africa?????????

  • Because New Orleans is so much cooler?

    Besides, Africa's a little... predictable.

  • why did it take placein America???

i would've did ancient Egypt,i mena it was a great movie with charatcers.but why New Orleans?? there r no princesses in America.

  • ....She married a prince. Who's not from America. And became a princess. ...Go see the movie. Or read about it at least. My my.

  • Ok before you start jumpin to conclusions. i know that the movie is about. i mean why would they have an american princess(who by the way isn't Native-American) i luv Tiana and i am a person of black decent myself...but why couldn't hve been in Africa..all of Africa isn't in poverty. i personally would have did ancient Egypt.

  • aquamarine11500, this is an American film. Most Black Americans know nothing and can't relate Africa. This is about an American princess, so why would it be in Africa? Jasmine was not an American princess and that's why it took place in her homeland. I get the feeling your African, so why worry about what Americans are doing?

  • Y not? For Disney to be an American corporation, we didnt even hav an American princess. (unless you'd want to count pocahontas, but shes not a princess)

And she was not a princess until she married PRINCE Naveen, who's not American. & more little girls could identify with an African-American princess rather than an Egyptian princess. Tiana covers a much broader spectrum of races.

  • Well yu have very good points.but to say that Tiana appeals to a broder audience is beyond me?

and yes Pocahantas was in a way a princess being that her father was head of the tribe,so he was basically like king, making her like a princess.but i see it from your point because Indians didn't have queen and kingsand what not..there are black Egyptians as well as arab egyptians(especially in ancient egypt)

  • What I mean is that African Americans, Africans, Bi-Racials, and the millions of other people of African descent from every country all around the entire world can (physically) identify with Tiana. If Disney were to make the movie Egyptian (& they'd probably make it with an Ancient Egypt setting with pharoahs, pyramids, and whatnots to make it more interesting.) not as many could relate.

  • You are wrong when saying Pocahontas was not a princess. She was the daughter of a cheif, wich made her princess of that tribe. I would know, I'm her great x 12 granddaughter.

  • She was NOT a "princess". In England she was generally regarded as a princess, but she wasn't, because a "princess" is a European term. That's lik saying a priest is the same thing as a rabbi. They're kinda alike, but two totally different positions with two totally different lives and responsibilities.

  • did you even see the movie? she married a prince who was from a far away country. this isn't a lofty concept, considering American actress Gracy Kelly DID marry a prince and become a princess. it's entirely possible.

  • @prodigychild1988

Yes, I was just reading about her. Heck hsi country even sounds like Naveen's made up one.

  • Omg! That has to be the best job ever! I'd give my right hand to be able to be a Disney Princess!

  • I cant wait to go this june to see princess tiana!! Hopefully, they will have some new orlean's food there....hmmm jimbayla and shrimp!! Now we need one more princess ..how about a latinaa ?

  • she used to go to my chruch she has made something of herself we all should

  • they are not all white, they are many different nationalities.

  • Great video! Got a sneak peek at the movie this weekend, and we loved it!!! I can't wait til our next trip to WDW so my daughter can meet her! I wonder if Princess Tiana will be on the cruise line also?

  • OMg! I cant wait to meet her!!!!

  • that horse was about to stamped after the fire works went off

  • BEST JOB... EVER!!

My god to get paid for just smiling and being kind.. Argh! I want to be a disney princess! I LOVE Tiana's dress. Personally it passed all the others for me.

  • actually we have about every color of princesses axcept for hispanic. But most princesses are white.

  • @PrincessAlice1462

hispanic?(or latino whichever) could relate to all the princesses because "hispanic/latino" isn't a race. many are descendants of either europe(belle;france),african(tiana being of african descent ) mixed with the indigenous people(natives; pocahontas) and also now some mixed with asian are still considered latino.

    so yeah. lol

  • She looks like Monique Coleman lolz

  • well if u think about it they werent "white" princesses, belle and aurora are french, mulan was asian, jasmine was arabic, but i do agree with u that it was time.

  • I always thought aurora was english

  • lol no sleeping beauty the fairy tale it self is freench! but if u notice her name in the woods is Bryer Rose which is commonly used in france, well old french people =]

  • Mulan isn't a Princess. She marries Li Shang who is an army captain and if not a prince or son of the Emperor. and you forgot Pocahontas. ;-)

  • i know i was confused by the mulan thing too. they just made her part of the disney princess franchise. but pocahontas is def one too

  • @kendallluver actually pocahontas isn't an actual princess. Her dad isn't actually THE chief, he's A chief. In her tribe there are several chiefs. Being the daughter of one of the chiefs doesn't make her an actual princes but in the movie they messed it up a bit. It's still a pretty good movie.

  • @Firebrdsuite What do you mean by no?

  • @Firebrdsuite she is a princess!

  • @goodlucknnightbear

    Cinderella was french, too!

Just thought I'd add that in...eight months later! (:

  • @goodlucknnightbear

in the US we look at people as either "white" or "black" which is very ignorant. but i can't blame them because sadly neither the white or black americans know where come from, or who their ancestors were, so they will refer to themselves as white or black.

and so i agree with you, those princesses werent just "white". they were french. but here in the US we ignore the diffrent culture&language and just see them as "white."

  • thats good for princess tiana

  • *Princess Tiana*

    *I Think She's Pretty*

*I Love How They Welcome Her*

They Finally Have A Black Princess Now.

Dont Think I'm Racist Because I'm Not.

    I'm Not African.

    I'm Creole.
