Also forgotten to mention that I found one of these cameras brand new from google shopping for £250 but took your idea and are looking for a smaller cam but roughly the same specs

Yes then ....I woz not sure because I went to see Peter kay at the men least Friday and no one was allowed their cameras out also mentions on the back of all tickets so...I'm also surprised that axl allowed people to take photos due to what happend at some concerts lol!

@maccahemp Comedy gigs are different. Never bother taking a camera to them. Musicians mainly don't want flash photography - and why anyone would use their flash at a gig is beyond me. You'd just end up with great shots of the people in front of you lol. As for Axl...any publicity is good :D In reply to your other post, make sure you check the sound specs - mono can't cope if there's loud bass, etc.

Bamop thank you so much I'm am just having a look now and ye that is true.. can't believe they did not take it off you because they mention that you can't take video cameras inside the men arena so thanks again very much appreciated

@maccahemp As long as you can't attach a zoom lens, etc, they're meant to let you in with them - as I said, it's not a pro model. Same with video recording - they mean professional gear, not digital point and shoots. The M.E.N was fine - every time I've been, they've seen my camera, checked the lens wasn't detachable, and let me in. Good luck!

@maccahemp That was my Fujifilm S2000HD but think you'd only get refurbished models now. Plus certain sponsored venues started to take it off me because it was 'bulky'. If you want to chance it, nae worries - or you could look up it's specifications online, then look for a compact one with same or better, esp the sound, and you'll be fine. :)
